Iconic Pan Pacific Dining Pods.
Edge, serves Asian fusion cuisine and is located on the third floor of the beautiful Pan Pacific Hotel. Also check out Keyaki with its beautiful Ryokan Kansai styled outdoor garden which is an interesting hide away garden oasis and dining restaurant. Kinda like Zedel (London) and Atlas Bar at Parkview Square (Singapore)

Phase 3 Al la Carte Buffet
NOTE:
Though it was highlighted somewhere on their website, they have only ONE Serving of the Seafood platter per table booking. Many other patrons were uaware of this new change which according to the floor staff took effect on 08March21
The 'Ladies dine free' is also redeemable per table.

Ordered On:
08March2021
Starting of with some star stand outs
*Though it took like 15mins for service its a delicately put together salad with nice toast on the bread.*

*The mushroom truffle pasta. Great serving size, done al dente. Very enjoyable.*
*Decent cheese selection, and truffle cheese was a nice surprise. The preserves and jams were a great accompaniment with the cheese.*
*Durian!!! How not to miss.
They were nice to serve just the shots on request*
*Their iconic Teh Tarik (Pulled tea). Sedap(Excellent)!*
The rest were of good standing but not phenomenal.
*Impossible Beef salad is on the salty side.*
*Beef Rendang to standard*
*Pork was on the dry side, but the caramelized apple and carrots were nice touch together with the creamy honey mustard sauce.*
*Pretty good chili crab standards but light on the crab. Man Tao nicely fried and a decadent treat with the chili crab sauce.*
*Desserts all pretty good*
*The only bit of misrepresentation. Baby Lobster isn't Crawfish/Yabby. Laksa flavors are there.*
Total Fed 2 at 91.81SGD for Mon-Wed (Thur-Sat is additional  10SGD++ for seafood themed)
If one is not selectively going for premium meats and free flow of seafood (specifically lobster and shashimi), and open to try from each of the themed sections, this would be a good valued deal and place to enjoy.

Ordering on-line was easy, but there were some small teething issues in terms of service, misrepresentation (Laksa Lobster to Crawfish), mislabeling (Lamb Tikka but Butter Chicken on arrival), lack of images and of crab cracking utensils. The serving size and presentation were perfect for sharing and getting just the right size as samplers.

By way of variety, Pre-covid, I'd personally say Edge has cut down by close to half in terms of selection. Edge has defiantly dulled since pre-covid and the lack any 'Fusion' in what seems to be fairly standard Asian food fare was a little bit of a let down as well.

However as mentioned if one's definition of  a good buffet is a good variety spread of dishes, nice desserts and not all about premium meat cuts and seafood, its a very good offer and deal to try for Woman's Week or anytime a good offer comes around.
Ambience 4/5
*Nice and spacious. Seemingly they cut down on floral decoration around the cooking stations but could be a vague memory from Pre-Covid era.*
Service 3.5-4/5
*Floor manager and staff were excellent and very attentive both to clear dishes (though over zealous at times but manageable) and keep water tumblers filled. He took feedback and request well and delivered promptly to help solve teething issues with App and imagery.*
Food 3.5/5
Value 2.5(Especially at full retail)-3.5/5
(Depends on dietary favorites and what deems a good buffet to you.)
