PMQ

Small Medium Enterprises with creative startups selling various items/apparel
PMQ is a re-purposed police station that offers a space for local creative businesses to sell their products. A really interesting place with purchasable art. PMQ is conveniently located in the heart of SOHO and a stone's throw away from Lan Kwai Fong (clubbing area).
 *Cool fish candles*
*Very nice, all wood watches*
 *Scotch tapes*
One has got to check out every nook and cranny of PMQ. Every single section has interesting sights to behold. Stairways are creatively painted by different artists. Various shops selling cool nick-knacks of which we walked away with some purchases.
*Cool ice cup*
 *Mahjong soap bars I think*
Its definitely an excellent place for gift ideas, trendy fashion, and unique hand crafted jewelry. PMQ is definitely worth a pop in before going for by- far the best Yakitori joint, Yard Bird, I've been to. Click here for Full review of Yardbird.

Yardbird
Japanese Yakitori

Yardbird is an absolutely amazing place to grab a fantastic dinner. It's a mere 5min walk from PMQ which sells local artist design items. Click for full review.

Yardbird is by far the best Yakitori joint had to date. The place is relatively small especially with its long queues and huge popularity, resulting in long queue. Yardbird has excellent service and its like dining at a good friend's place. Wait staff are super friendly and attentive to your needs, with most being American educated and have been working at Yardbird for a few years now.
ABBATip:
- The place does not take reservations. ALL PARTIES need to be present before they sit you.

Ordered On:
19Aug2016
Kanpachi Tartar HKD190
*Super Refreshing and definitely one of the stand outs. Good mix of textures as well as the nice hint of bonito flakes mixed it. A very promising start to the meal!*
Ox Tongue HKD155
*This is the bomb! Nice thickness on the Ox Tongues, that are super tender and beautifully prepared. The dish is then lightly dressed with fresh herbs and I suspect to be a variant of bean sprouts. The greens really livens up the entire dish. A home run!*
Breast Meat HKD45/stick
*Nothing special. A little tough and dry on the meat.*
Thigh 45HKD/stick
*Classic pairing of leek and chicken. Prepared really well.*
Pork Belly HKD48/per stick double ordered this
*This was worthy of a double order! Excellent fat, good flavor and the thin shavings of leek really did elevate the dish. Sheok!*
Chicken and Egg HKD165
*The filler dish for the day. Its something in between clay-pot rice, and Korean Bim Bim Bab. A risotto like consistency  which was very rich and filling.*
Corn Tempura HKD110
*Wow! Its like a mix of corn dog batter, with sweet corn. A really fun take on this dish and a must order. One of their signatures that is a must try!*
Chicken Skin HKD45each
*So delicately presented. Small chicken cuts, bbqed to a crisp with a dash of salt. So simple yet so elegantly prepared.*
Chicken Heart HKD45 per stick
*Its surprsingly small morsals but its really nicely prepared.*
KFC HKD110
Deep Fried Caultiflower

*Really interesting take on the dish, similar to that of the corn tempura.*
Chicken Meatball HKD48each
*Though this  was their signature, but it really didn't give that wow factor as opposed to their Ox tongue and corn tempura. Nice dish, but not a wow.*
Duck Meatball HKD45 each

*Ordered but not pictured. Good prep but nothing wow.*
Total fed 4 HKD1468 total
370HKD Each

 Additonal Sake ordred at 450HKD
Sure it is a little on the pricey side, but its well worth the dining experience, company and the stand out dishes listed above. Yardbird is constantly featured as one of the many top eats in Hong Kong and getting 4/5 star ratings on various wine dine write-ups. Quality stuff, innovative and overall good fun. Will definitely return again with a party to try some of their other stuff. Amazing and a recommended try !

Sears Fine Foods
Finally after hearing much about this place, I get the opportunity to find out what the fuss is all about. Sears Fine Foods is located just up from Union Square and its open daily from 6.30am. A good breakfast joint for early risers.

Ordered On:
4thApril2017
*They are known for their mini pancakes which is on their signature list. Its pretty nice and fluffy and way too much for one person to finish. That's especially so for their huge pancakes, so try to get a group and be conservative on the ordering. Overall nothing really over the top, just a nice setting for a hearty breakfast.*

Ordered On:
17Aug2016
Sears All Meat Omelet USD14.95
Sausage, Smoked Bacon, Diced Ham, Cheddar Cheese
*Its a heavy breakfast that's for sure. The meals got all the good stuff a growing boy needs. Protein, carbs and a hearty breakfast. Good serving of cheese in the omelet and the fresh toast with butter and jam is the way to go. A large serving that can tide you through out the day*
USD14.95 Fed 1
Its a nice old school sorta of, classy diner with large mirrors and beautiful bars. Simple ingredients made good and a step up from Lefty O Doul's for sure. The eggs are done with slightly more finesse over IHOP. A breakfast joint that opens early for good dining options.
