Crowne Plaza Shanghai Pudong is pretty much a self contained mini community within a light industrial estate, located away from anything else. One stays pretty much at the end the train line and takes at least a half hour by cab to get anywhere significant.

Ordered a few bears and a bottle of 12yr Glenfiddich Whisky. Bill should be around RMB1200.
Karaoke rooms were avail on site but staff said there wouldn't be additional charges as they had ordered a fair amount prior.

As patrons sang and drank amongst themselves, suddenly two "servers" (looks wise is subjective and shall not comment here) appeared and sat with the gents. This instantly put up some red flags and sure enough the bill came to RMB3000+.
Long story short, bill was settled, however, "servers" on top of that had demanded TIP of RMB200 which was not entertained. Server vented loudly, screaming and shouting.
