Conveniently located in the heart of town, Travel Lodge is within walking distance of Salamanca Square and the multitude of good eats by the scenic Harbor. Unfortunately parking is only allowed off site, at 10AUD per exit.

The rooms are of good size and what's great are definitely the mini dry kitchen counter with microwave, cutlery and mini fridge to store your small bites.

ABBA Details

- Basic complimentary wifi is available up to 100mb per day and chargeable there after.

- There is a coin operated washing machine and dryer found in the basement. 

- Woolworth is within 800m and open daily till 10pm at night.

The stay at Travel Lodge is Approximately AUD120 per day.

Getting Around and
getting connected with a data plan

 (ours was the small Hyundai on the left)

We rented from Hertz at the airport. Charges were at AUD354.25 (AUD50.60/day) for a week with full insurance coverage.

For Internet connection, a Pocket Wifi with 3Gig data at 3G speeds valid for 28Days was purchased from Vodaphone at AUD39. 

The Wifi dongle is chargeable with mini USB cable and a single charge is good for 5hrs. There are other options provided by other providers.

P.S Depending on your network provider, and where you maybe traveling to, you may not get network coverage hence no data. In our Itinerary, there was spotty wi-fi at Mt field National Park and no coverage midway to Port Arthur. (only Telstra in the area). Click here for 7 day Itinerary in Hobart. Located at the edge of the CBD, there not much in terms of cheap good food around the area, but a short 15min-20min walk in any direction would pretty much bring you to town or to the river side for fantastic dines. Perth Exhibition Center is beside the hotel and may have special events on during your visit.

There are Bus(Free cat runner services) which bring you to "North Bridge" for your oriental meals, art and historical museums and night life, as well as to "Harbor Town", another shopping enclave for big discounted brands. Walking to these places are totally viable as well.

Train station is just located around the corner, for the more adventurous willing to travel out of the city.

Getting Around in Perth with the FREE CITY CAT

Most of the locations are walkable from the crew hotel. However for ease of getting around, the simple to follow, color coded network of bus services helps travelers get to where they need to be with ease. Self explanatory boards and accurate bus timings, enhance the already user friendly experience.

To get to JDK is pretty straight forward. 

1 - Purchase a 2zone ticket. It covers the MRT and Buses

2 - From "Espanade Station" located behind the hotel

3 - Take 3 stops down to "Murdoch Station"

4 - Take either Bus 515(walk from Turnbury Park Dr)/516(walk from Farringotn Rd) to JDK.

Time taken (MRT15min+BUS+WALK= 1hr45min -_-;)

*"China Southern Cadets" have always walked from main road bacck to JDK airport, but its a lonnnnngg 45Min walk in!*
