West Coast Park

West Coast Park is a family-friendly recreational hub in western Singapore, known for its adventure playground, scenic coastal views, camping, cycling paths, dog run, and tranquil green spaces.

*flying fox which sadly only one out of the multiple were operational*

It's not really long enough for long cycles like in East Coast Park but this adequately sized park with a little bit of everything for everyone. Especially for the kids with their variety of playgrounds, sand play as well as having a McDonalds on-site is a sure win.

Uniquely this park also allows for recreational camping which is a unique plus and views of the Pasir Panjang Port.

Available daily at night, however the Godzilla Projection is only on the weekends. Show times start pretty much in the evening every half hourly from 5.30/6.30pm and last for about 15mins. The last projection is at 9.30pm. Click here for the Official Listing of Tokyo Projection Mapping

It has a nice space for lying down and the Japanese do it right with sound not being overbearing. Great seating and lie down space with comfy Astro turf to lie down and enjoy this nightly free projection.

Godzilla Head

A 12-meter-tall, 80-ton life-size Godzilla head from the 1992 movie Godzilla vs. Mothra is displayed on the 8th floor terrace in Shinjuku, visible from Yasukuni Street, creating the impression of a real-life Godzilla.

A short walk from the Cat projection is the Iconic Godzilla Head. Unfortunately visitors cannot get up close to the Godzilla head in Shinjuku. The reason for restricting close access to the Godzilla head is primarily due to safety concerns and crowd management.

Energy filling, simple food fare that's open daily from 11am to 11pm. Fuel up and go. A great place for a hearty beef/pork bowl or ramen. They had some great side dishes like fried chicken cartilage as well as the usual fried Chicken. Would recommend for simple, sinful food. The best Roast Beef bowl is still had at Red Rock Americamura (Osaka)

Crystal Mountain

Ski Resorts: Crystal Mountain and Stevens Pass are about 2 hours away. Check availability as some resorts may not be open early in the season. Weekends are crowded, and parking reservations are needed.

Car Rental: The hotel doesn’t offer rentals, but there are companies like Hertz and Enterprise nearby. Use discount codes and book online for deals. Rent cars early on weekends as availability is limited.

Parking: No overnight parking at the hotel, but free roadside parking is available from 8 PM to 8 AM (check signage).

Crystal Mountain: Lodging is available if needed. For a day trip, arrive by 9 AM to take lessons. Lessons are 2 hours, with lunch and skiing until 4 PM. Book lessons online 2 days in advance to guarantee space.

Road Conditions: Check road conditions before driving (likely dry or wet with little snow early in the season). Use 4WD vehicles for safety. Snow chains are recommended but not allowed by rental companies, so plan accordingly.

Shuttle Option: A shuttle service to Crystal Mountain is available from Enumclaw town. You can take a bus to Enumclaw and then the shuttle.
