The double cutlet set
*That beef was beautifully marbled. Extremely tender, full flavored and juicy. The hot plate for that additional searing was a nice touch and added that extra interaction you have with your meal. One get a nice sear before devouring that slice of heaven. A single cut would be just nice, a double was straight up going for it.
Try the beef cutlet with fresh wasabi. Its sweet and opens up the olfactories to get a greater taste of the beef.
A truly satisfying order and well worth. Personally I'd skip the 100yen yam order. Didn't really like the taste or texture. Orders were taken prior, so pretty much when you were seated, the orders came instantly.*

Don't be distracted by the hanging red lanterns on the outside. The actual restaurant is a small 22seater joint with a small entrance located at the side.
Arrive early as a queue forms early.
The menu is pretty simple. Either a single cutlet or double cutlet with addition of yam.

This place totally blows out Tonzen's (NRT) Beef Katsu. Their pork Katsu at Tonzen however still holds top spot. Well worth the queue and the order. A highly value for money and excellent dining experience for first time Gyukatsu triers!
*Then of the Melopan Ice cream for dessert!
One of the best fresh baked buns with choice of Ice cream!*

A unique place that serves only Tsukemen and a unique, duck broth soup. Well worth the exploration just off main Namba walking area.

Two noodle choices at 850Yen each

*The noodles themselves are pretty standard, but all the magic is really in the unique, thick duck broth dipping sauce. A lemony zest, very nicely flavored and not over powering or heavy like most pork broth base. Well worth the slight detour off main Namba. Note that there isn't a whole lot of meat to it. You're paying mostly for the broth and noodles.*

A must try for the duck broth. Will return, especially so when the weather's cold.
