Trick or Treat at Opera Estate 31Oct2026

*A first at this event!*

Opera estate is one of those community led initiative that took a life on its own. It started around the 2019 and has been going and growing ever since! Similar to another popular location at Woodgrove which we checked out last year.

*Awesome home decorations all participating in the trick or treating.*

*Everyone's having a great time!*
*Families having fun at the event!*
*Loads of creative costumes and fun to be had all around.*
ABBATips:
- Get on their socials Operaestatehalloween to be up to date on the details on what's going on, tickets and more.
- Arrive early to get roadside parking before road closures. We arrived at about 430pm and worked out just nice.
- Stay hydrated and note there weren't any public toilets around. Eateries are largely limited to cafe options found beside the field.

*Ready to go after some house visits.*

*A Xenomorph, Power loader and Colonial Marine taking the town.*

A 4 and 11yr project in the making.

Opera Estate or Woodgrove?
What's great about Opera Estate is that it feels more children friendly with a carnival like atmosphere. There's more safe space to move about.

Lots of activities at the main football field and extends outwards to the various participating houses. Summarized as great for families and younger kids, probably up to lower secondary and below. With the roads largely blocked off in the area, it makes it a little safer to move from house to house for trick or treating.

Note that there still is traffic moving within the area, largely for residents but way less than regular traffic. The houses here were really nice, but Woodgrove brings this to a whole entire level and really popular to the bigger kids and up (click here for full write up and things to know!) More home decorations, side hassles, bustling and HUGE Crowds.

Both are family friendly events and absolutely free to participate! Same same, but different.

*Taken at Woodgrove. The house that slays every year!*
