Ballard Locks and Fish Ladder
(The number one attraction in the area)
(Fish ladder - A seasonal attraction and visitor museum were unfortunately closed at this time
due to the work disputes on going in USA)

The Ballard Locks in Seattle connect Puget Sound with the city’s lakes lifting boats between salt and fresh water. The Locks in Seattle carries more boat traffic (50,000/yr) than any other lock in the U.S.

The place also feature a fish ladder where salmon can be seen migrating (June–September), and have been operating since 1917 as a vital part of Seattle’s waterways.

*A murder of crows flying out from the locks*
Amazing! An engineering marvel and photos and video don't really does it justice. A must to check out and especailly so during the salmon migrating season. With buses to and from the city, its a easy must visit for the number one attraction of the area.

Ye Olde Curiosity Shop
Opens 1000-1800hrs

Ye Olde Curiosity Shop, founded in 1899, is a quirky Seattle landmark combining a museum and gift shop filled with mummies, shrunken heads, and strange artifacts from around the world.

*Pre medical practice, this preserved head was used as a medical learning tool.*
It is unfortunate the way the collections were randomly scattered around the space, making way for more commercial sales which in my opinion really cheapened the collection. Looking for similar experiences, one may want to check out:
- The free mechanical museum in SFO at Pier 45. Mechanical arcades and entertainment which still operate on quatres till this day.

St.James Cathedral

*All souls day*
The St.James Cathedral was completed in 1907 but Its original central dome famously collapsed in 1916 during a heavy snowstorm, yet no one was injured.
