11Days Total
7Days 6Nights in the City Area
5Day4N Fujikawaguchiko area

Rented from Nissan Rent a car.
Pick up and drop of from the Airport were very straight forward. Look for the counter, give a call and wait for the shuttle at the designated pick-up point.
Managed a free upgrade to the Nissan E-power X-trail
Car Rental:

¥140,030 with
Full insurance coverage
(Some additional charges for later return as well as another airport return)
955Km driven Total ETC
¥17,691 + ETC rental  ¥2,200
Total Petrol 73L  ¥12,561
ABBATIPs on Driving in Tokyo:
- Within Tokyo they only have ETC(Electronic Toll Collection System) so you're probably gonna have to opt for the option. ¥2,200 for our case.
- Larger sized cars will probably face some challenges along the side alleyways and smaller parking places.
- Parking in the city is generally expensive but if you're parking for more than 3hrs or so, most of the places are capped at a
max of ¥3500 yen. These prices range and can be as low as ¥1200. Most of the time they hover between the ¥2000-¥3000 range. So depending on where you're going, leaving a car for a couple of hours at a location and moving about from there still works out fine for long term parking.
- The expressway turnoff maybe a little challenging to navigate and the U-turn is often several KM down the line. Try to anticipate the turn offs early.

This is a very long posting. Though there were many other eats that were tried, some researched, some accidental finds, but these were the particular standouts and were shared and listed here.

Day 1 Touch Down Day (Wed)
Teamlab Boarderless
(Purchased via Klook)
Adults: 2  ¥4,800 Child 2  ¥1,500
Total
 ¥12,600
Teamlab Borderless and its open concept is a wonderland for children (but with some rules as we found out). It has many interactive and kid-friendly exhibits and activities. Much like the one in Singapore (a smaller scaled down but still very good version is available at the Art Science Museum), but seen in its full glory.

As the name suggests, its a free form exhibit which encourages exploration from chamber to chamber. The displays and interactivity changes over time encouraging participants to be in the moment and enjoy the art pieces. The place maybe more suited to larger kids but its still very enjoyable overall.

I'd say the place is still really worth to just feel the huge spaces and offer a different, elevated experience from the one available in Singapore.
ABBATip:
- Advance purchase is HIGHLY recommended. They are strict on the time slot and only allow -15mins to scheduled time for entry. On-site purchase for arrival time slots is not available.
- Stay a while or re-visit huge chambers as they do changes periodically.

Day 2 Yokohama Day Trip Out (1DAY)THU 14

Yokohama Central Fish Market
(Very local fish market)

To visit this local market, parking is open to the public on the ground floor only. Unfortunately on our day is probably an off day for the market. Still recommended as a by-the way-stop and an alternative to more famous markets. The breakfast across did not disappoint!

Dining Kanesei
(Opens 7.30am)
A nice morning breakfast with an artful use of paper to re-create a large Tuna. Breakfast for four was ¥5,200. Fresh, delicious and opens early. Perfect start to the day.

Cup Noodle Museum
Opens 10am-6pm
ABBA Tip:
- The cup noodle making experience is available on a first come first serve basis.
- Arrive early to book your slot. The cups are at additional
¥500/pax and limited to one per customer. These are bought form the vending machines. (Advance bookings for the cup noodle making exp by phone or online are not accepted.)
- Parking is available at the Cup Noodle Museum with free parking for first hour with a validated ticket purchase.
Marketing done right. It was overall a really fun and engaging activity. One learns a little about the history, but the real fun is customizing and selecting the huge array of combinations your custom instant noodles.
A  great family activity that kept the kids engaged for a good hour or so. Highly recommended especially if the family are a fan of instant noodles.
Click here for original posting of Cup Noodle Museum in Yokohama.

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse
(450m/6min walk from Cup Noodle Museum.
More artisanal eats and artful, unique shopping options)

The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is a historic landmark in Yokohama, Japan, consisting of two red-brick buildings that were originally used as customs warehouses in the early 20th century. Highly recommended for artisanal shopping and good eats.
Shogun Burger
Shogun Burger is a popular Japanese gourmet burger chain blending premium local ingredients, like wagyu beef, with traditional Japanese flavors and classic American-style burgers. Another check-off the food hunt to try Japanese American burgers in Tokyo!

Hachiko's Grave
Hachikō's grave is located at Aoyama Cemetery in Tokyo, Japan, where he rests beside his beloved owner, Professor Hidesaburō Ueno.

The grave symbolizes their inseparable bond, with Hachikō’s ashes interred next to the professor's. Visitors often pay respects at the site, which has become a heartfelt symbol of loyalty and devotion in Japanese culture.
Gonpachi Nishi-Azabu
a.k.a Kill Bill restaurant

(Reservations recommended and done easily with google)
Much of Kill Bill, Vol. 1 was set in Tokyo, but filmed in China. There is an iconic fight scene that was shot on a set that is an exact copy of a restaurant in Roppongi, Gonpachi Nishi-Azabu.

- Downloading the Disney App is the easiest way to maximize your day. Link up your credit card so you can purchase Disney Premiere Access to get access to specific rides.
- Pre-purchase meals via the App with Disney Mobile Order. Don't waste time in queue! Select, order and collect at the time slot you are at. This saves a lot of time and requires a bit of pre-planning around rest and meal times as your preferred time slot may not be available.
- Bring an insulated/waterproof mat. This makes for comfort, rest and securing your space during parade times.

Day 4 City Shop Day (SAT 16Nov)
The Toyosu Market Oct2018 (new Tsukiji)
Closed Sunday, Most Wed and National Holidays
*No more live seafood shops. Largely merchandising, vegetables and some cook ware.*
One for the history books. Its not like the Tsukiji of old. The Toyosu market is really more of business to business sales with the tuna trading floors and fresh fish markets viewable only from above ground viewing windows. You won't see live seafood like you would at other seafood markets anymore.

*April 1986. The largest traded Bluefin Tuna Caught in Japanese Waters, One of the Largest Traded in Tsukiji Market. 496kg, 2.88m*
What's nice is all the facilities are connected overhead and they have done up a nice eatery space at Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai. A little commercialized with their decor and the eateries don't open as early in the morning. Most start operations about 10-11am only.
Click here for ABBA Location of Toyosu Market

Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai
ABBATip:
Checkout the food stalls upstairs. They keep you out of the weather and have amenities like free water dispensary and the washrooms.
*Food prices as expected are a little touristy. Food is okay. ¥2,600*

Had some 'Famous' Taiyaki which fell flat really. The highway rest stop en-route from
Narita Taiyaki was far superior.*

My recommendation is to have seen this new location where seafood of the world transits through (see if the tuna trade if you get a chance), but the heart and stomach are still with the old Tsukiji. Check the market but go back to Tsukiji for a meal and some shopping as well.

TeamLab Planets

Located 800m from Toyosu Market
(Booked via Klook)
4200Yenn x2 Adult
1,500Yenn x2 Child
Total  ¥11,400
Teamlab Planets is known for sections where visitors have to walk in water, sometimes shin-deep. This is the only exhibition which has water incorporated into its art displays. Due to its popularity, it has been extended.
ABBATip:
- As with TeamLab boarderless, the wearing of skirts are discouraged due to the reflective base.
- Don't worry about getting wet as they provide shorts free of charge and towels to dry off after each section of the 'wet' exhibit'
- Lockers and changing rooms are on-site for visitors to store their valuables.
*There are very few repeated features but it is a different experience and I'd say 30% smaller exhibition vs Teamlabs Boarderless*

Odaiba
Odaiba is a popular man-made island in Tokyo Bay, Japan, known for its futuristic architecture, entertainment facilities, and shopping destinations. The island is probably most known for its life size Gundam.
*Another check-off the box having some Tsukimen. Most uqniue one had in Osaka - Duck broth Tsukimen Kamokin*
The place has got its standard duty free shopping fixes and off course the place to get your Gundam figures from. Look out for the light show timings of both the Fuji building as well as life size Gundam figure. It's not worth to plan your stay around that timing but if you happen to be there don't miss out on catching it.
Click here for original posting of Odaiba and its various attractions.

Day 5 SUNDAY Shopping Day 17Nov
Shibuya Scramble Square

The Shibuya Scramble, or Shibuya Crossing, is one of the world's busiest pedestrian intersections, known for its organized chaos as hundreds of people cross from all directions when the light changes. It is located in front of Shibuya Station in Tokyo.

Hachiko statue
Hachikō was a loyal Akita dog in Japan, famous for waiting at Shibuya Station every day for nearly 10 years after his owner's death. His story symbolizes loyalty and devotion, and a bronze statue at the station honors his legacy.

The first statue, created in 1934, was made of bronze. However, during World War II, the statue was melted down for its metal. After the war, a new statue was commissioned, and the current Hachiko statue, created by sculptor Takamichi Aoki, was unveiled in 1948. This is the one that stands in front of Shibuya Station today.
What's really nice they have a Japan tourist ambassador who takes photos for you for free, keeping the line going and gives out free paper origami to the kids. He really gets into it directing all the poses.
Shibuya Hikarie Sky Lobby
(
Free viewing from 11th Story)
Get a free viewing from the 11th Story of the government building. There's no direct lift to the 11th floor but one can navigate through the department store, head towards the office lifts and that takes you to the 11th Floor. Here you get a view of the Shubuya scramble and if lucky, a view of Mount Fuji even. Acess is free and conveniently located with a Lawsons on the same floor.
Click here for Shibuya Hikarie Sky Lobby

Mega Don Quijote Shibuya
Like most places, free Wifi On-site and bring your passport for tax free shopping! 7 Floors of shopping!

Zhao Shibuya
(Where you "catch" your own seafood to eat)

The easiest is using the three pronged hook which hooks up the seafood with relative ease. The more complicated way is with traditional bait and hook which may take a long time.
"Catch your seafood" and let them know what style you would like to have it prepared.

Note there are options for additional charges like making a porridge, or deep frying the bones of your catch.
Prices are clearly demarcated on the seafood you get and there is no additional cost to the cooking style.

Kemedai at Kimme-ya
(Recommended by Japan native and local)
Place to have Kimmedai ( A deep sea fish). A very local joint catered to the locals of the area.

Day 6 Tokyo Disney Sea(FULL DAY) MON 18Nov24
SGD88.49/Adult
SGD50.05 (4-11)/Child
SGD277.08 total
Parking ¥3000 for whole day.

ABBATip:

- Arrive early. Seen above is the queue to get in as off 1hr before opening at 9am.
- Purchase a DPA if you want earlier and guaranteed access to the new extension, Fantasy Spring opened on 06June24
- Have your credit card details setup on your Disney Tokyo App and add party members to assist in multitasking priority passes or DPAs.
- Fantasy spring is absolutely worth the visit. Just getting into explore the land in itself is truly magical in itself. Highly recommended and not to be missed.
About Fantasy Spring Opened 06June2024

To Enter Fantasy Springs, you need a park ticket and a Standby Pass (Free) or Disney Premier Access for a fee for any of the rides located inside Fantasy Springs.

Only with either of these are you allowed to enter the land and they are strict on the entry timing.
*To purchase Disney Preimere Access (DPA) or Priority Pass (Free) you FIRST need to scan in your ticket and be in the park grounds*

Purchase a DPA to grant you earlier access to Fantasy Spring. 20mins after entering at doors open, DPA for Frozen ride was already completely sold out. The earliest timing for a free standby pass for Peter Pan was available at 1720hrs. DPA we got for Tangled was entry only at 1320hrs. (Note that all this excitement is just 20mins after the park opened after you get in.)

So have your credit card details all pre-setup before-hand would save you crucial time.
You CANNOT queue for any ride while inside Fantasy Springs without a standby pass or DPA. You ARE however free to enjoy the land itself. Once there are no more passes of either variety, you do not get to enter or go on any of the rides within the land.

Once you exit the land, you are no longer granted re-entry outside your allocated timing. The views in the day and night are really different and magical.

If you failed on all fronts, the spectacularly carved entryway to Fantasy Springs is just as beautiful and can be checked-out before the ticket checking further in.
ABBAtip for Fantasy Springs:
- Go for the DPA for early access (Frozen ride would be the most worth it as its the longest one and the most popular intellectual property. Also its the one that often breaks down the most. It did during our visit.)

Day 7 Mount Takao (Day Trip out and
travelling to
Fujikawaguchiko area TUE 19Nov24
https://tokyocheapo.com/entertainment/outdoors/mount-takao-day-trip-tokyo/
ABBATip:
- Round trip prices are the same. You can go up via the Cable car or chairlift. The queue for the chair lift up is shorter but you can come down either way. The cable car leaves at fixed time intervals.
November is set to be the Kantō region’s prime fall foliage period this year, and Mt. Takao, on the outskirts of Tokyo, is listed (by the Michelin Green Guide, no less) as one of the best places to see momiji (ornamental maple leaves).
*The high light. A 15min ride through the foliage on a safety-bar free chair lift. The big one really enjoyed this and went up and down the same way.*
Though there are lots of things to do, due to the young one being a little under the weather we still  managed to take the chair lifts up the mountain and enjoy a little of this pit stop along the way.
ABBATip:
- Food and parking  is available at the base. Parking
¥1000-¥500
- If you have a Suica you can just tap on and off while taking the chair lift.

Adults (high school students and older)  ¥3,200
Child (4 years old to junior high school student)
¥2,000
Jungle Bus additional  + ¥1,500 yen/pax
The entry into the park grants you access to the self-drive safari portion of the ride, which encompasses around 70% of the park grounds.
It also grants you walking access to the remainder of the park where many have an honor system for feeding the wild life there. Further more they have some peripheral attractions like a dog and cat petting room at an additional charge.
ABBAtip:
- Pay for the Jungle Bus experience offering the best experience and value. Prior booking  is doable through their website. However if you arrive early, earlier time slots are still available.

- Only through the jungle bus are you able to have the animal feeding experiences. The other rides through the park come at different charges. However the route it takes is exactly the same as you would in your own car with just the park entry fee.
*Such beautiful eyes. What an experience.*
The rest of the park is kinda secondary. The real experience was had in the jungle bus safari. To have these beautiful creatures (Bear, Lion, Camels) come up close and eat the food that you provide. Well worth it despite the rainy conditions. Really fun times and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
*Note that you only get one item per animal to feed. You can't purchase more.*

Maple Corridor (Autumn Festival)
An absolute  MUST!
One for the core memory books. Truly beautiful and reminiscent and near equivalent spectacle of the Sakura viewing along the Philosopher's Walk (Kyoto). This event occurs annually so look out for the event dates with eateries and craft shop quaintly lining the street sides. Thoroughly beautiful.
Parking is available on-site with most of them at a ¥1000 fee.

麓 -ROKU-
(Recommend by Andrew.L)

Day 9 West Side of Mount Fuji Thur
Lake Kawaguchiko
*Views on a clearer day. Its too picturesque not to stop*

Bat Cave
*Really low ceiling only the kids could clear easily. The helmets really saved our noggin a couple of times.*
A side attraction really which was en-route to the Shiraito falls. The one bat that we saw in the cave. *Note that bats are nocturnal and most of them are asleep during the day. They also have a separate area inaccessible/viewable to the public.*
Nice if looking to have a little walk in nature and a really small cave that has low ceilings to enjoy. A small fee of ¥300/adult. Kids below 7 are free.

Shiraito Falls
Shiraito Falls, located near Mount Fuji in Fujinomiya, Japan, is a stunning cascade of spring water flowing gracefully over a wide, curved cliff of volcanic rock. Its name, meaning "White Threads," reflects the waterfall's delicate, thread-like appearance. Designated a natural monument, it is a popular spot for its scenic beauty and proximity to other attractions like the nearby Otodome Falls.
Its just beautiful and you're there's a section that allows you to be right by the falls. Its refinance of Minoo Park Falls in Osaka another great place to view Autumn Leaves.

Mt.Fuji World Heritage Centre

*Can you see the shape of Mt Fuji in the reflection?*
A picturesque museum which educates and simulates climbing to the peak of Mount Fuji. This did further enhance our appreciation and beauty of Mount Fuji. Entry is ¥300/Adult and free for children.

Day 10 Around and On Fuji-San Fri
The Lawsons
I get it why it became so popular so quickly. The symmetry and colors are just right and its located right beside the Kawaguchiko train station. The barriers were removed as of date of visit.
Click here for ABBA location of The Lawsons

Oshino Hakkai

Oshino Hakkai is a group of eight crystal-clear ponds in Oshino Village near Mount Fuji, fed by pure spring water filtered through volcanic rock.
Known for its scenic beauty and cultural significance, it offers stunning views of Mount Fuji, tranquil surroundings, and ties purification rituals, and their role in Shinto practices, symbolizing spiritual cleansing and harmony with nature.

The site is a National Natural Monument and a popular spot for visitors to enjoy its serene landscapes and local produce.
Click here for ABBA location of Oshino Hakkai

Arakurayama Sengen Park
Iconic view of Pagoda and Mount Fuji in the background that one see's in many of the media posts and advertising.
About 400 steps to the top but there is a sloped option as well. Honestly really over hyped. The Chureito Pagoda is in actuality a monument to enshrine about 960 citizens from Fujiyoshida who died in the wars which occurred after 1868.
ABBAtip:
- Parking there is near impossible. Try to get parking a little aways and its a short walk to the main entrance.
Click here for ABBA location of Arakurayama Sengen Park

 Mount Fuji 5th Station

A scenic toll road that costs ¥2,100 to drive up the lower northern slopes of Mount Fuji. Takes about 40mins. The road is closed to private vehicles during the climbing season and may be partially closed in winter.
ABBAtip:
- Bring layers! Its gonna get cold and windy!

Fantastic views await. They have toilets but due to the difficulty of bringing water and supplies up, basic flushing and hand washing a reduced. Most require a
¥200 entry charge for such luxuries.

There's simple eats and duty free shopping where we did get some of our souvenirs from too! Stay for the amazing sunset views!

YAKINIKU竜ケ丘 Tatsugaoka

Fair valued Yakiniku and we manage to get more of what we wanted with pure al-la-carte orders. What's nice about this place they offered some unique cuts of beef like beef knuckle, and offals which was one of the food bingo hit list I was striving for.

Anamori Inari Shrine
(A side-stop as this was right beside the car return station)
Anamori Inari Shrine, located near Haneda Airport in Tokyo, is a peaceful Shinto shrine dedicated to Inari, opened in 1706. Inari is a deity in Japanese Shinto religion, often associated with rice, agriculture, prosperity, and fertility. Inari is also considered a protector of business and is revered for bringing good fortune and success. The deity is typically represented by a fox.

It is famous for its vibrant red torii gates and tranquil atmosphere, attracting visitors for both spiritual visits and scenic walks.
