Haneda - To Eat

*Starting off with must have fish whenever anyone is in Tsukiji. The one we eyed was not open but am pretty sure the standard should pretty much around there for the don bowls.*
*Very pleased and satisfied with the eels and cuts. Total approximately 6100yen*

Yoshizawa
(Known for their Matsusaka Beef croquette)
Japan's "top three" wagyu brands — specifically Matsusaka Ushi, Kobe Beef, and Ohmi Beef. This here was Matsusaka.

Well worth it but a single piece must be shared by 2 or 3 people The richness of the beef just overwhelms you and become a little heavy. Still very good and fried+beef is always a win.

Masa Seafood
(Known for their unique Fish burgers)
700yen
Simple fried fish. The cod according to her was the most popular but that felt more like a typical fried fish and chip. We went for the lightly marinated fish.

Their home made buns were soft and refreshing. Interesting combination which is not your usual typical burger. Located off the main stretch and a unique hole in wall shop that's opposite to Tsukiji Peppers Cafe the dark horse star of the trip.
Tsukiji Peppers Cafe
(Known for their peppers and the winner surprising best try for the trip)

500yen
The surprising star! Go to the fish market but going for a pepper pizza? We pretty stuffed by then, so we opted for a simple cheese toastie to best taste the pepper. It was really enjoyable. The pepper corns are light, crispy with a hint of saltiness and really brings out the flavor.

The spice is super mild for the pepper corn we tried and it'd be my go to now! Will return to try their pizzas and would highly recommend this hidden gem.

Tsukiji Sanokiya
(For their Taiyaki)
*Simple fun and the locals loved it too!*
Taiyaki (鯛焼き) is a popular type of Japanese street food, instantly recognizable thanks to its striking fish shape complete with intricate fins and scales.

A crowd pleaser. Two version with the crispy exterior or softer chewy one. All are hits.

*Side Buddhist Temple to view beside at Tsukiji Honganji*
