Singapore - To Do 14/15Aug21 Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve (Migratory Bird Trail & Coastal Trail)

Singapore - To Stay
Singapore - To Eat
Singapore - To Do
Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve
Opens 7am-7pm
The entire area of Sungei Buloh essentially consist of two major nature walks. These are namely the Migratory Bird Trail (1950m) at the Wetland Center, and the Coastal Trail (1300m) at the Visitor Center. There are some shorter sub routes in between which do integrate into one another
Getting here is relatively easy with the near hourly free shuttle bus services to and fro Kranji MRT station to the respective centres and additionally the Kranji Marshes. There is limited parking available at both sites and get filled up on the weekends.

(Migratory Bird Trail)
The track maybe just under two kilometers but from Parking point to the end, it was an additional 1km.
*Observing the Water Hen forage for food from a distance*
Easy routing which I must say is relatively stroller friendly. Most of the path were compact sand with a side more granite based.
*Whats left of the old bridge*
*There are several nice look out points for bird watches and views of the straits*
*Aerial view from the lookout point*
*Hideout for bird watchers*
Pretty enjoyable for the first 30% of the route. From the visitor center to crossing over the bridge and a bit of the pathway. Apart from the coastal views, after a while the route around got a little monotonous, especially with the lack of path crossing wild life. This could be due to the higher human traffic on the weekends.

That said, we still did catch a good share of animal sightings on this journey.
*Massive Crocodile swimming away*
*Archer Fishes*
*Water Hen*

Good for the front part of it, after that it transited to just completing the route. One maybe more interested in Pasir Ris Mangrove Board Walk for a varied experience of a shorter routing.

Coastal Trail (Partially Reviewed)
*Crocodiles basking in the distance*
*Nice water feature with stepping stone to get in amongst nature*
We only managed to cover a bit of the Coastal Trail on accident and will return to finish the whole thing on another visit.

Some of the minor routes and attractions covered. These were the Little Heron Deck which is essentially a nature inspired and immersive playground for kids which they thoroughly enjoyed, along with the Mid Canopy Walk which a was a fun mid tiered bridge.
