Kevin Khoo Bistro had been much abuzz recently and finally had a chance to visit. The place serves simple western fair with some crew favorites had internationally such as the pink/hello kitty sauce pasta (Click here for the original from Frankfurt at Mario Lino's) and creamed spinach.
The place was born out of social and economic adversity and uncertainty during the COVID period, where the aviation industry was and still is hard hit by the ever evolving pandemic.
Kevin Khoo is a play on words on Cabin Crew, and tongue-in-cheek bistro is started up by ex-crew. The place has provided alternative employment for many displaced crew, tapping into what they already known for their exemplary and impeccable service.

*Chicken serving size felt a little small. The salted egg sauce lacked punch.*
Chicken Cutlet Cabonara SGD18
*Really respectable serving size. Chicken was lightly breaded and fried. Juicy and tender more akin to Japanese styled fried Chicken. Good cream and richness with the runny yolk.*
Tiger Prawn Aglio Olio SGD22
*Big sized prawns and good level of spice on the Aglio Olio. A little difficult to peel.*

Mains were a little light, but the pastas were of generous serving size and definitely of value eats. Nice drinking space with plenty of bar bite options. An open space concept with good ventilation. Will need prior reservations especially on the weekends to get a spot!
In support of the national carrier, its heartening and inspirational to see Singapore Crew helping each another out during this challenging time. Resilient, evolutionary, passionate and hoping for all to return, safely to the friendly skies.
