Singapore - To Do 29Nov2020 (Singapore Science Center)

Science Center Singapore
1Km walk from Jurong East MRT
Science Center is the main attraction here but there are also other off site attractions within the area. These are namely, Snow city, Omni-Theatre and Kidzstop with a large indoor hands-on play activity center. We opted for science center this time round which had a temporary pop-up moving display of living animals for 16SGD for adults and 12SGD for kids >3yrs of age.

Within Science Center there are also some ticketed experiences at a nominal fee.

Science Center standard purchases prices are 8SGD for kids and 12SGD for adults (comes with $5 curiosity shop store credit) for Adults. Click here for latest Pricing at Singapore Science Center
 Temporary Exhibit with Living Worlds
*Great number of interactive displays which are all totally kid friendly and suitable for all ages.*
*Mini Omnimax video that goes on a loop. Dramatic, education and immersive.*
*More fun digital and interactive displays*

*Augmented reality. Btw its 10sgd for the print*
Living world was fantastic for all ages. Loads of varying interactive displays, from the jungle, to the sea and arctic. Well worth the little premium on ticket prices, which also includes entry to Singapore Science Center. Worth to check it out before 3rdJan2021 swings around.

The Science Center itself is too large to cover given the limited 3hour visit slot due Covid. (1hour is set a side for disinfection daily. AM session from 10-1pm and PM session from 2-5pm.) Although the structure originally built in 1977 has gone though some additions and alteration, some section still has the 70s-80s vibe to it. However, many of the displays look updated and modern, thou there are some remnants of the throwback years.

*A classic Rube Goldberg machine giving off that 80s vibe.*
*Some of displays seem a blast from the past. Still good fun and educational!*
*How we sense fear. A mini 'haunted house' installation.*

*Very picturesque and large mirror mazes to go exploring! Way bigger than that of Jewel's mirror maze*

The Singapore Science Center is definitely worth another revisit to check out all the little nook and crannies. Overall a fun-filled educational experience suitable for all ages. Too bad visit times are cut by half due Covid-19.

The place has even more to offer pre-Covid with major displays/shows and even an outdoor water play area which are worthy of mentioning. Till better times hopefully in the near future.

Simple and reasonably priced dining options are available on-site for that mid-afternoon snack/lunch.
