 Getting to the Red Fort from Ambience Mall

- Go the Gate 5 of Ambience Mall ( our same access to Ambience Mall from hotel) exit hotel turn right. Walk downslope and straight ahead for 150m.
- Free shuttle bus brings you to Micromax Rapid Metro station (similar to our LRT). They will ask you fill in a log book for free shuttle on bus. 
- Buy 37INR token to Chandni Chowk Stn. Need to transfer at Sikanderpur Stn for main metro line. Journey takes 70 min. For return vice versa.

Option to walk back from Micromax Stn otherwise a 12 min bus ride due to the U Turns needed to return to Ambience mall via the till stations.
 
Red Fort Red sandstone battlements give this imperial citadel it's name. Aka Lal Qila. Commissioned in 1939 and took 9 years to built. Used by Mughal powers till 1857, when the last Emperor was dethroned and exiled. The imposing red sandstone gateway of Lahore Gate is where the Prime Minister addresses the Independence Day rally. 
 
 
Cost 250INR for foreigners to enter and INR100 for optimal audio guide. Fees include the museums within. Closed on Mon.
