The Meatball And Wine Bar
(130m from Grand Hyatt Hotel)

Located just behind the Grand Hyatt Hotel, this grungy chill out place definitely brings up the reputation of the under rated, humble meatball.

Most Popular Combination as recommended by the Bar Tender Ordered Below. Meatballs featuring the best ingredients and elevated in flavor and presentation. I review for you the humble meatball.
Ordered:
Balls & All AUD18
Pick and choose either Beef, Chicken, Fish or Veg balls with choice of sauce and starch/veg

 Pork - Fennel, Sage Orange
*Juicy, respectable sized, oven-baked meatballs. To be honest the bits of orange could be seen, but perhaps a very suttle dimention to the dish that it went almost unknown. Perhaps that special X-factor that makes it work.*
- Green Pesto Salsa Verde
*Excellent freshness that it brought to the dish. Non of that store bought stuff. You can taste the fresh herb and pine nut blend.*
- Super MB Potato Smash
* Mash with a mix of potato skin and I think some cheese in it for that creamy, and textured flavors. A complete meal.*
A filling meal surprisingly. The cracked sea salt, pepper and the key, chilli oil really made the meatballs pop more. Solid eats. Be enlighten by what a humble meatball can really be.

Market@Fed Square
(A Biannual Event in MEL)

From an original plan to head to St Kilda's for seaside lunch, got detracted to spend a really cool afternoon at the Markit. A bi-annual event showcasing 100 of Australia's most coveted independent designers and illustrators, selling limited edition designs including home-wares, fashion, jewellery and collectables.
*Pictured from Left to right.
- Hand Stitched cufflinks.
- Beautiful line art Tea Towels
- Hand stitched characters, with some seemingly drawing on the stylings of
Happy Three Friends (Click here to find out more. Rate M).
*Pictured from Left to Right.
- Dot to dot drawing brought to an entirely new level imaginable. Famous faces slowly come together as you connect the dots.
- Old day photos with some creature features intertwined together.
- A flurry of framed paper cut butterflys to take home.
- A really beautiful marriage of a blending of flora and fauna. Amazing detailing.
*All thought up by the seller's Husband. Really hilarious writings and taughts,
worthy of likes on Facebook. Here are just a few.*
Name Cards of some of the many incredibly talented independent designers from Australia. Most of them provide shipping internationally.
Featuring JukeCase
Vintage looking suitcases with quality speaker. Old and new melding in one perfect portable package.
What's more is that they are portable!
In the realm of portable speakers perhaps, its the real deal of solid bass and full bodied sound as compared to other minispeakers or headphones which only simulate the effect.
In terms of vintage looking style, there's no denying it.
Single charge last 15hrs and batteries up to 6years based on daily usage.
Takes in modern earphone jack input.

Prices range from AUD300-800
*For now only shipping within Australia*

Go to www.jukecase.com to find out more.
Having been to the Markit, the national gallery seems underwhelming. Free to enter. Here are some of the perhaps more interesting highlights, in my opinion of this three storied gallery.

Yottekoya Ramen Shop
(Opens till late. Reviewed at 3a.m. local time
Located at street level, Decks shopping mall)

Ordered:
Chicken and Pork Bone Broth with Soy Sauce with Flavored Egg ¥800

Fried Chicken ¥350
Red Spicy Ramen with Flavored Egg ¥800
*All Ramen were great tasting. Expected no less of standard when in Japan. The egg done just right and Fried Chicken not overtly oily and was great with the lemon squeeze. It was even commented by Nin that it tasted even better than another chain  in Japan, favored by colleagues. Open till late and aproxmately 750m walk from the hotel. There were still two other groups and additional patrons as we were finishing up.*
Click here for ABBA location of Yottekoya Ramen Shop open till late from Grand Pacific Le Daiba

Kai-O (Sushi Joint)
(Located in Diver City, 6th Floor)
*Was told it was a relatively good serving size of fish to rice ratio for rotistarty style sushi/shashimi. The place came recommended by both hotel staff at Le Daiba and Gundam Store staff. Whats great is that the self-explanatory ordering system was easy to work with and orders came in fast on  atoy train. And even if one ordered wrongly, the actual consumed  plates are calculated at the end. Though its no Mother Of All Sushi found in Narita vilage (Click here for Narita - to Eat), I guess it was still pretty decent. Still looking for a Sushi joint within the area. *

Tonkasu-Wako
(Located in Aqua City 5th Floor)
Ordered:
Black Pork Set and Chirashi

*Pork was suculent and marbled in juicy fat. The fry, non oily, flaky and crispy. The free flow of clam miso soup was tasteful and the flavors from the clams not overtly strong. Don't bother with the additional chirashi which I had added to the set.  Not worth the add on. No crab meat of chicken found in it.*

Ho Hung Kee

Ho Hung Kee. First wanton mee to win Michelin 1 Star. Located at Hysen Place 500 Hennessy Place. It is 7 minute walk from Park Lane Hotel. Located on level 12 of the shopping complex. Congee is nice and smooth. Menu in English is available.

Famous Fei Jie HK Street Food
Famous Fei Jie HK street food. Located at the end of Ladies Market. Long queue in the evening. Better to visit in the day before shopping at Ladies Market.

Four Seasons Pot Rice
Nearest Station Yau Ma Tei

*ABBATravel Entry 06Dec2013*
Pictured above on the left. Arrival at 6pm. Place was already filled as seen in middle picture. Picture after with the long queue was after the meal. Go EARLY. Place opens at 6pm!
 Ordered:
Salty Fish and sliced pork chop with rice (Foreground) HKD37
Chinese Sausage and Pork Chop with Rice (Backgorund) *Here the salty fish is a little different. More meaty and not completely dried out. The flavors of the rice really do permiate through out the dish but more evident in the one cooked with Chinese sausage.*
Deep Fried Oyster Cake HKD30

*Found to be way too oily. Did not finish the dish. Luckily ordered the smaller one.*
Fed 2 Aprox: 130HKG
A decent place for clay-pot rice. Not as much burnt bits at the bottom but perhaps that's the way clay-pot rice should be enjoyed. Easy to find but one defiantly must go early to avoid crowds else it'd be a long wait.

SUPERDUPER
Along Mission Street (Along Target 600m)
Due to an incident in the kitchen, the usually Superduper joint was closed for the day on our visit and hence surprisingly redirected to another conveniently located Superduper branch, that's literally twice the size of the one featured below. Standards are just as good and perhaps even nearer to your shopping needs.
Ordered on
05Apri2016
First SuperDuper and Garlic Fries Experience
*"Pearl's Deluxe Bula Burger still takes the cake." - M.V
Superduper
Along Market Street (After Old Navy 550m)

*ABBA Travel Entry 04Dec2013*
Very simple menu. One type of burger, with options of double patty and or with cheese. How hard can that be. No fuss. The condiment bar also has self pickled pickles to boot.

Just an update on stuff that I didn't order the last time round. As good, oily and greasy as always. They don't serve it in grease proof paper for nothing. Super delicious and definitely lives up to it's Awesome Burger name and chain.

Ordered on:
13Feb2015
Approx 14USD

*Garlic Fries above pictured 19July2015*
Super Duper Combo with garlic fries, drinks and free serving of home made pickles! The Garlic Fries with broiled cheddar toppings. A definite not to be missed add on. Why settle for normal fries? It not just simple garlic powder but I believe freshly grated or mashed garlic, to give that pure light bight unadulterated garlic goodness. The fresh herb bring that touch of class and freshness to the dish! A must try! And still a C&DGG
(cheap and delicious greasy good) place to go!
Seen above for USD9.50, you get fresh fries, free flow of drinks and a juicy burger patty with beautifully melted cheddar cheese. Definitely a great eat, quick easy and will return for these quality burgers.
*ABBA Travel Entry 04Dec2013*
SFO eat. Super Duper Burger. It's 10 min walk from crew hotel along Market Street. From Old Navy store, continue to head towards Fishermen Wharf for another 100m appox. Very good quality and delicious burger cooked only after you order. Menu as shown.

  Ordered On: 30thMay2015
SuperDuper burger with garlic fries and Lemonade
Soft Serve - USD3+
Pictured is the kids size. It's a lot to finish for an adult to be honest. Organic ice-cream that's smooth and not as creamy as compared to Mac Donald's soft serve.
