Came recommended by a Fukuoka resident who now resides in Singapore. A place offering good, value conveyor belt Sushi. Although its located beside the Fish Market, this place is nothing like what you'd expect at Noryangjin Market or Tsukiji Fish Market. Totally quiet and non-touristy. Even the Gyo Sushi joint was located in a multi story business center of sorts with most of the small eateries located on the ground floor.
*A 30min cycle here. Saw some docked squid boats.*

Really??

*Selection of Toro from Normal to Fattiest. Pretty fair deal but fairly thin cuts. Not over the top Toro.*

In comparison to Conveyor belt Sushi, for the pricing and quality range it offers it does edge out the two cheaper value options Sushisho (NRT) and Kura Sushi (NRT). However it still looses out in overall variety and options in comparison to Chio Si Maru (NRT). Sushi-Gyo here seems to specialize mostly in their white fish varieties which were pretty enjoyable, with their stand out to be their rock fish.

Out of the way location, but possibly en-route to Tenjin. The place had a queue on a Wed before doors open and filled out within 15mins of its opening.

Tempura Daikichi
Recommended by Loo.S.K
Opens from 11.30am-3pm and 5-1030pm
Sat and Sun 11am-1030pm  on weekend

Located closer to the Nipponbashi area
(For All things Gundam Anime and Collectibles. The akihabara of Osaka)

Tempura Daikichi serves tempura and have a fun gimmick with how people have their clam soup here and deal with the left over shells.
Queue already formed at 11.15am. The location itself is quite accommodating so don't need to be there at doors open.
There's table seating available as well.
 Their Value Lunch deal.
 Ordered On:
15March2019
Tempura 1000yen set with some some topups.
Approximately 1200yen per pax.

*Tried only one of their add on dishes which was their pork cheese tempura which came recommended. It was enjoyable. Cheesy with a little bit of fresh basil. All of the fry on the tempura are pretty good and considering for the 1000yen lunch set with the selection, appetizer and soup its a great deal.
How does it compare to Tempura Ichiba (lsignature Onsen tamago)?
One probably gets more value here because of the range of seafood one gets. The dining experience here is more laid back with a wider menu to select tempura from. More of a gimmick here is throwing clam shells on the floor to have them cracked. Fun but probably only tourist were doing it. *

Ambience 3/5

*For the 1000yen basic set you get the soup, an appetizer and the rice. All in with a selection of seafood tempura is a great deal!*

Fed 3 at 1200yen each.
Interesting place with more of a gimmick way of disposing their clam shells. Good tempura fry with pretty quality ingredients. Definitely a great value lunch set.

Want some variation? Why not try out Japanese Italian. Opens 1800hrs till late.

Located 800m from Sheraton Miyako is Piattini Micio, a husband and wife team who frequents Italy annually to pick up new techniques and serve up Italian eats.

Porcini Cream Sauce 1690Yen+300Yen for larger portion
*Their cream sauce isn't too heavy and a decent amount of ingredients. Nothing special but a decent pasta dish.*
Anchovie Pizza
*Authentic Italian. It could use more anchovies but that's personal. The dough is very light and springy. Thoroughly enjoyed and would go for their pizzas!*
Ambience 3.5/5*Nice, homely and Italian music playing in the background*
Food 3.5/5
Service 3.5/5

Fed2 About 2300yen each.

*The wife leaving us an origami souvenir.*
Note there is a table charge of 200yen for water if not ordering anything from their drink menu.
Fairly priced but the portion is a little bit on the small side. The stand out here are their hand stretched, thin crusted pizza. The pizza dough has an enjoyable, light chewy texture to it. Classical Italian ingredients with that little Japanese flair. If one's looking for similar textured pizzas, one can try out Franco Manca (A london Chain with their sour dough. Highly recommended and cheap and affordable.) Piattini opens till late for a twist Japanese take on Italian cuisine.

Getting around on a Bicycle!

Trying the bike rental for the first time. 500yen and you have this easy to park and unlock POWER ASSISTED Bike. Pretty awesome if you don't wanna be reliant on the shuttle bus to go places. Worth the rental. It is a little bit of a workout but you sure can cover some ground with ease.
Taiyo Supermarket

Kura Sushi is located within the same Car park compounds as Taiyo supermarket.

*It seems slightly more value than Sushi Sho as there is a larger variety of dishes here and almost all their dishes are at 100yen pricing. Only a small percentage goes at a slight premium. Have yet to try their Ramen/curries/burgers.*

Opens at 11am. Just nice  after some super-marketing at Taiyo Supermarket. A cheap and decent place which offers a large variety of small bites. Similar to Sushi Sho, don't bother too much about their premium fatty tuna.

Unagi Set meal 2900Yen with additional allacarte order of Tempura to share 1200yen
*The set helps compensate for the cost, but personally I'd rather spend the same amount at other Unagi joints for superior char, and depth of flavor. Looks pretty but lacking in substance with a lot of fluff on the sides.*
*Average tempura. One of the best tempura experiences is still at Osaka's Tempura Ichiba.*

Really one comes here primarily for the ambience. The property is relatively large and has a couple of dedicated rooms a well. Great for a social gathering and a menu selection to suit most people's budget. Food is average but that view and zenish garden space is enjoyable. There's another hidden tea house gem find in Narita village.
