Singapore - To Do
Yishun Park@N8
Located directly opposite Katib MRT is Yishun Park @ N8. A nice strip of park in the heartlands and with its newest addition, building on stilts added Feb2011 of this year.
*Smaller buildings on stilts for the little kids. Its still a little challenging but better suited for ages 3 and up I reckon*

This feature playground is in a large open space with two other exercise corners and another older playground located within the compound. The running track is nice and everything is spaced out nicely for some exploratory jogging.
Overall a nice park and the huts were largely built to cater a full standing adults which is much appreciated over that at Marine Cove.
*Other playground located down the slope*
Pleasant park with two playgrounds and a couple of architectural features to explore.

Singapore - To Do 20July21 (Tanjong Beach)

Tanjong Beach

*Note* Due Covid and Public Holiday, beaches require prior booking before entry is allowed to their beaches
The orientation is the same as Siloso and Palawan beach but this beach is uniquein that its pet friendly. Loads of K9s are out to frolic in large open spaces.

Tanjong seems to offer more by way of better shading spots from the scorching Singapore heat.

*Parking lots are ample though its open air and seeming prone to peacock attacks in the area.*

The shower facilities here are aesthetically superior to those at Siloso beach. Large picturesque, open air rain shower facilities as well as multiple closed door shower rooms are made available. A stone's throw away from the beach and subsequent car park. There was an open air shower closer to the beach for those only needing a light wash.

Nice beach front with much more shading options and also conveniently located near an excellent shower facility. Plus side are the multiple beach volleyball courts as well as being a pet friendly section of the beach makes for a different experience from Siloso Beach

ABBATip:
- It is purely a audio digital experience. There will be no chance to see any of the animals as lighting conditions are dim.
- The trail is easy to follow and lit accordingly.
- Cater about 1hour plus for a very leisurely stroll and photo taking
- Drink top up points are available in the park.

The entire walk through takes probably an hour, with a fair bit of wait time for the two interactive stations (about 10mins each). Due COVID, there's no skip ahead thus everyone follows the entire route moving from one point to another.

*This was really mesmerizing. It felt like a forest of fireflies.*

*First Interactive station. The louder you clap, the more the animation goes!*

*Really pretty and quite a large area to wonder around and get your pics on.*

Overall a nice experience and some portions very immersive but with missed opportunities, especially with their photo taking Rainforest Lumina cutouts.

Apart from the few attractions highlighted above, I'd say about 60% of the trail was pretty much an evening stroll in a very dark park with some illuminations here and there. They could have done much more with the rain forest characters throughout the but character development and story lacked.

Applicable with rediscover vouchers and in operation for its final season till 13Feb2022.

Beer Battered Onion Rings Served with Cajun Ranch - SGD9++
*Super Crunchy and sweet Onion Rings done well! The Cajun Ranch lacked kick thou. The only complaint is that there isn't enough. Outback does it similarly with their Blooming Onion.*
BBQ Combo
Beef Brisket SGD32++ ST Louis Ribs/Baby Back Ribs SGD16x2

*The only star here was the beef brisket. Good flavor from the fat but once we moved up to the meatier portions, it got much drier. The baby back ribs were fall of the bone, while the larger St Louis Ribs were almost there. Unfortunately both pork ribs were dry. The smoky flavors wasn't that strong and the dry rub could be heavier on all cuts of meat. What did them in was using the same sauce and rub for all the meats. The flavors kind of melded and in fact had to packet the balance as it got tedious to finish towards the end.*
One of the best smoke house enjoyed so far was at Slide Door BBQ (Perth).*
Total SGD85.92 Fed 2
Food 3/5
Service 3/5
Value 3/5
Ambience 3.5/5
A little disappointing. They could have had different rubs for each of the meats and be more generous on the sides, especially given that the BBQ combo  was meant for two.

The potato cut fries were done nicely, but we felt the coleslaw came from a bucket. The meats had good flavors at first, but the sweet tangy BBQ sauce eliminated the nuances of the smoke and rub. Next time just go for the beef brisket to share and skip the rest of the smokes. The place is probably more known as an outdoor  than for its smoked meats.
