P.S. on 8th Nov 2012 Miss Earth 2012
"You never know who you may meet at the Mall of Asia. Miss Earth 2012 was being held in MNL at the time and all the contestants were spread out in SM Mall of Asia and the Hypermart for various competitions to gain points."

The coastal line has an array of bistros and pubs to meet everyone's taste, fancy and budget.

These range from gastronomy, (hinting at cooking with science), Star Movies Café, a movie themed restaurant, Seafood Island, Hooters and various pubs featuring live bands.
Entertainers and small food vendors line this coastal stretch and have a fairly family friendly atmosphere.

Intramuros
Manila Spanish Old Town

Experience the oldest district and see the spanish heritage that which is Manila, take a taxi ride of approximately 35-45mins to Intramuros.
Street Market Near Heritage Hotel
A very short walk from the hotel, past "Kenny Rogers" leads you to a large stretch of street markets. The place offers a variety of clothing, bootleg movies, and streets eats, offering Phillipines iconic "Balut". (A boiled, half-developed duck egg.)

Edsa International Entertainment Complex
The local watering hole across the hotel. A multitude of pubs to choose from under a single complex, with high security constantly on duty to ensure safe environment for patrons.
ABBATip:Take a Taxi to go to-and-fro location. Even though its across the road, past 9.30pm, the bridge which links the hotel to the complex is high risk crime area. Knife or even gun point robberies are very common. Be Safe. Jaywalking is ill advised. Do as the locals do.

Flipside
Yes! Finally there is another great burger joint that has made its way from Cottesloe Beach, to North Bridge. Amongst the other burger joints like Jus Burger (previously reviewed) just down the road from FlipSide.

First recommended to me from local surfers, who ritualistically swam to Flipside after their surf sessions, dive into these reasonably priced burger. Add a side order of their salty, thick, flash-fried chips with Aioli (garlic and mayonnaise) sauce combination, is a must have.
Ordered:
Avocado and Bacon AUD13.5* Fat, juicy and a meal of its own. Love their sweet onion jam, which offsets the smokey greatness which is bacon, and the creaminess coming from the fat cut avocado slices.*

Large order of Chips and Aioli Sauce AUD4.50 + AUD1

* Their, I believe, home made Aioli sauce, along with fat, fresh fried chips are really a must try.*

Danny-Doolan
*Introduced by Kavik

A definite must go! Live music 7-days a week. Live Music really starts from about 10pm and stretches all the way to the wee hours of the morning, depending on the crowd. Good beer is a given, but company, even better.

One of the best 2 man band I've ever heard playing. Awesome tunes and totally complementing one another. They have a great rapport with one another and the crowd, cracking jokes and treating crowds to shots and dedications. Definitely a fun hang out! Located at the Viaduct, there are many other nice eateries and pubs along this harbor.

Can Do:
Voyager New Zealand Maritime Museum
Located scenically along the river side, the New Zealand Maritime Museum offers a varied selection of artifacts.

Ranging from detailed model ships, art works, great replica sets, to augmented reality displays. Watch out for special additions to the attractions at the Maritime Museum.

The Auckland Fish Market isn't anything to scream about but its a nice location for a morning cuppa and great atmosphere for dinner. The bistros in front of the fish market offers Tapas, to steaks, desserts and coffees.
Corner of Daldy St & Madden St, Freemans Bay 1001
Waterfront Auckland Silo Park
Also a new addition to the Auckland cityscape, just further down the bay from the Auckland Fish Market, the Silo Park. A small park space, but has make shift stalls on the weekends. Look out for the events that are available.
