Zen Kitchen

Ordered On:
24May23
Spicy Chicken Lemon Grass Soup

AUD16. Small order is large enough to warm a person on a chilly day. Lots of bean sprouts, but the soup maybe a little on the sweet side and lacking the iconic lemongrass flavors.

Went for something different so can't speak for their pho and how it ranks up against, Pho Tan Hoa in SFO (which sadly now the area has become more derelict).
Food 3.5/5
*Chicken was super tender, and you could add more spice to your level of liking.*
Service (SELF SERVICE)
Ambience 3.5/5
Value 4/5
Comfort food really, and would probably return to try their other Vietnamese dishes. Their Banh Mi seemed hugely popular as they were sold out by 1330hrs. Another popular Banh Mi spot is in Perth located in the heart of town.

Le Pas Sage
Quaint French Bistro
Not going to France anytime soon? This quaint bistro and bar with light eats was a pleasant surprise. Nice decoration, with option of fairly decent eats and the chill french vibes to boot whilst enjoying the cool evening air.
Ordered On:
24May23
Trio of mini burger croissant AUD18
(featuring three different cheeses, Raclette, Blue Cheese and Camembert)

Food 3.5/5
*Nice burgers put together with the enjoyable condiments. IMO it lacked seasoning. Pearl's Deluxe in SFO still hits top spots. However, the mini sliders featuring the different cheeses though enjoyable, but craved for more cheese serving.
Ambience 4.5/5
Value 4/5
Would highly recommend for the atmosphere, especially with plates to share, and enjoy a meal that doesn't break the bank.

Adelaide Central Market
Well...have your expectations measured.
Its not as big as Queen Victoria Market, or Sydney Markets, but it has it's charm quite close to (like 60% of) South Melbourne's Market.
All organic with bins of grain and cereals to scoop your order out off.
Price of Oysters pretty much comparable to the rest of market in Australia.
They do have a range of fruits and vegetable stalls, but two to three at most of each stall and it didn't seem evident that they were offering samples for their products.
In season local mushrooms at AUD50/KG. The large one goes for about 15AUD.
They however do have an eclectic mix of stalls like one selling purely mushrooms, to country specific eats and bistros. An interesting place to check out but unlike others having that little more by way of street art, performers and lively bustling, here was probably for the everyday person and much more laid back.

The food, some of which were interesting but probably the time of day, couldn't attract to find a corner to tucker in.

Day Trip to Sweden

Visiting the City of Lund and Malmo
Done it all in Copenhagen? Take the short trip across the pond to check out these two popular side towns for a different vibe, and at the time, cheaper bites with the different exchange rates. Click here for more things to do in Malmo from ABBA contributor Denison

Both are quaint townships. I wouldn't call it as impressive or as big as other major cities but for a different change of pace and views, check them out. Some of their "rated tourist spots" for picture taking has to be taken with a more laid back, casual lens. A real nice 50mins journey to explore these two small townships and the company and camaraderie helps!
ABBATip:
- No Passport required!
- Frequent Trains!
- Train Conductors WILL CHECK each sector so pay the right amount. Cost about SGD20 each way.

Malmo

Strortorget or known as the Great Square in Malmo.
It has the feels of Amsterdam square or Munich's main town hall.

Turning Torso is a neo-futurist residential skyscraper built in Malmö, Sweden in 2005. It was the tallest building in the Nordic region until September 2022
Kungsparken, Malmo, City's Oldest Park with walking paths.
Malmo Castle, It has its own charm. Different feels from Nagoya's Castle.
Slottsmollan - Castle Mill in Malmo, See the real deal with a self guided tour to Amsterdam windmills.
Great company and planing makes for any location and place a great day out. Till the next one.
