Rumah is a family-run concept store/restaurant that serves up delectable, Asian inspired eats, with it's upper story selling clothing lines from overseas. Family neighbors, who have always had a hand in the food industry, are now living the dream, in this quaint bistro, located just off the main city street.
Ordered on:
15June2016
Home made soy cured salmon, cabbage, apple and
radish slaw, rocket, wasabi
mayo - AUD15

*"The salmon was found to be a little bit on the salty side, but others may find it
enjoyable. The vegetables are superb and the dish, in my opinion could have done
better with eggs. The wasabi mayo was non existent. A small serving of fries by the side
would have been nice"- T.C*
Cantonese Slow Braised Beef, caramelized onions,
swiss cheese, rocket, lime
and ginger mayo - AUD16

*Super loving this sour dough bread dish combo. The hearty serving of braised beef that's tender and juicy, brought to a pop with the delectable lime mayo. Unfortunately the ginger element went unnoticed but a stronger showing of the spice would have definitely worked. A balance of sweet, salty and tangy all mixed into one panini pressed
parcel of awesomeness.*
Made to order Madeleines W/Kaya (Their Signature dish) 15mins 3 for AUD6

*The House special of, made-to-order Madeleines. They're a beautiful, crumbly, golden brown, with a light crispy circumference. A nice localized version by having creamy kaya pumped as its filling. The must order when at Rumah's."

The place to go for Asian inspired dishes that work! Wholesome home stead dishes with a twist, kicked up a notch.

  1. Only downsides here was that I’m not sure if they were expecting such a crowd as they did not have nearly enough servers and sometimes it would take a really long time for service guy to come. But at venue Houston they tried to keep a smiles on their face.
