Pan Pacific Hotel
Seafood Buffet

27.50AUD after a 50% discount for crew.

Click here for ABBA location of Pan Pacific Hotel The spread may not be as large as in comparison to what one maybe used to back home, but where it lacks in variety, it makes up for in quality. Undeniably the standout here is their fresh seafood section.
Oysters are excellent with the taste of the sea. Both their butternut squash and mushroom soups were good too. Nice and thick, full of flavor. Their beef short rib was tender and had deep layers of flavor to it. The squid stir fry was pretty good as well.
The last stand out was their Earl Grey Creme Brûlée from the dessert section. Devine. Though it's not as impressive as Jakarta's Hotel Mulia, The Cafe, but its still of damn good value eats, only with the crew discount. The winner here is undeniably the fresh Aussie oysters.
The Burger Bistro

Ordered On:
22Jan2016
Fries served separately at AUD2.80. Only tomato sauce is free. Rest of the sauces come at AUD1 each.Hey Pesto - Beef, pesto, shave Parmesan, fresh basil leaf, tomato relish AUD15

"*Nice atmosphere and presentation. Chips were really good, but the beef to be honest
was a little dry, but will return for a meal there.*" -N.Z
The Beef Big Smoke - Beef, pancetta, emmental cheese, garlic mayo, smokey BBQ
AUD15.50
*Same as above. It was a really impressive serving. The presentation was nice as was
its setting. Chips had a good crunch and done similarly to all time favorite chips joint,Grill'd. Freshly fried, chunky and crispy on the outside. A good burger overall, but in all
honesty, the garlic mayo was non existent. Where the dish was also let down, was
definitely the beef patty. Overcooked and on the dry side*

Another option for gourmet burgers, apart from the slightly dry beef patties, the food and overall dining experience as a whole was pretty good. The fries were definitely nice and the other burger options (non-beef) looked enticing as well. Will return to try other options if a journey to town is too much of a hassle or in bad weather.
