(You need to take the free boats across the river to get here.)
The Straat Museum in Amsterdam is a street art museum located in a former warehouse. It showcases large-scale murals and graffiti from international artists, highlighting the creativity, culture, and political messages of street art.
This was by far the best expereince for this trip. Sure the entry maybe a little steep but it delivered on modern, high quality art and offered emotive and interactive opportunities.
There are Many photographic opportunities, loads of meaningful and interactive art which was thoroughly enjoyed. The range is varied and with the free on-site wifi, it allows for a free self-guided audio tour which further enhances the experience. Well worth it and a must! The warehouse adds to the entire viewing experience. Great for 2-2.5hrs.
Another great museum which was a great surprise given the entry price was MOMA in NYC. Click here for more (Highly recommended if having to choose). Loads of iconic pieces seen through the ages all in one location. One of the many many amazing museums which NYC has to offer.
ABBATip:
- If find the entry a little steep, there's still lots of free art found outside around the area.

Dry Aged Ribeye €52
Dry Aged NZ Sirloin

*An interesting side. Its really soft but would have been way better if it were warm. Interesting concept, but could have been executed better like how they do it at Stinking Rose (SFO).*

With the crew discount of 20% makes it sort-of worth it. Though its dry-aged, it unfortunately did not pack the deeper flavors often associated with dry-aged. If not for the discount it would have been a larger sore point. We ordered Sirloin which probably due to the aging process, lost most of its fat-cap.

My probable choices next time would still be the rib-eye of any variety and the Picanha with choice of chimichurri and red-wine sauce would be best.
Fairly nice dining experience and of so-so value.

Winkel 43
?
Touted to serve up the best Apple Pies in Amsterdam.

*The ambience is a little dim and not very picturesque.*
Value 4/5
This place serves up largely coffees and toasties. Great for a light morning breakfast without breaking the bank. Toasties were about 4-9Euros in range prices.

Did the Apple Pie deliver?  It did in a different way. Its not like a conventional American Apple Pie. The crust was light and filled filling with loads of apple. The cream worked beautifully with the pie. Pretty good and great for sharing. Would have been better it were served warm.
*Note that the apple pie isn't on the menu but they have it.*
