Chicho Gelato
(Northbridge)

Chicho Gelato is a popular artisan gelato shop in Perth, known for its high-quality, handcrafted gelato made using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Their menu changes seasonally and are spot on with their unique and delightful array of flavors.

Quality Gelato. Flavors were all on point but personally would have preferred a thicker consistency. Unique flavor combinations to be enjoyed in the drinking area of town.
Don't miss, by far best Spanish Hot Chocalate down the road at San Churros and amazing, valued HKG standard Dim Sum but Aussie sized Dim Sum at Fortune Five!

These other picks are my personal top picks for Ice-cream.
All time for variety and value still goes to GIOLITTI (Rome) and Mooz (recommended by locals, Carins Australia.)

UMA
(Pan Pacific Hotel)

UMA is a fine dining restaurant in Perth that specializes in modern Peruvian cuisine with a modern twist with a number of accolades to boot.

Peruvian food is often known for its bold flavors, unique ingredients, and the fusion of indigenous, Spanish, African, Asian, and other immigrant culinary traditions.
 Ordered On:
16Oct24
AUD125/pax: A taste of Peruvian culture and a culinary exploration.

Come with an appetite! Four courses with multiple dishes at a grand total of 11dishes inclusive of one Amuse-bouche. Very filling!
*
Amuse-bouche could have been great if freshly fried.*
Course UNO (one)
*The appetizers were the greatest hits. The Ceviche Peruano was by far the hit and throughly enjoyed by all.*
Course DOS (two)
*Beef rump cap skewers were amazing and with the silky smooth potato puree were to die for. Not much of Chicharron de Fescado. It seems more like an Asian sweet and sour fried dish. Overall we agreed that the second course was on the salty side.*
Course TRES (three)
*The Barramundi was so beautifully prepared that it wowed all of us. A crisp skin and flesh done medium rare. Truly enjoyed by all and a kick from that mango mole. The Cassava chips though looked great did't really resonate. It a firmer more starchy texture than what we would be used to.*
*The 350gm Black Angus perfectly prepared. Personally it needed a little more salt. Salad was refreshing and cut through the already very filling meal.*
Course CUATRO (four)
*Nice dessert to end of the night.*
Fed 3 AUD125/pax
Food 4/5
*The standouts to all were the Barramundi, Cevici and all the appetizers.*
Service 4/5
*Great service. Attentive and plates constantly changed after each course. Queries were clarified by wait staff with the chef which was really appreciated and enjoyed. Excellent!*
Ambience 3.5/5
*A little on the dimmer side but still a nice environment to enjoy.*
Value 3.5(standard pricing) 4.5/5(with crew discount)
Value! Though not every dish was a home run, the variety was amazing. Even at the regular retail of AUD125 for the full course, the journey through Peruvian cuisine was well worth spent and they would adjust for the number of people eating.

Come with your appetite. By course two, it was just nice, course three was indulgence and the last course for dessert, there's always a special space. Would highly recommend this culinary exploration or al la carte to experience when in town.

Another great value for money lunch and superb experience was at two Michelin stared restaurant, Dinner in London by Heston, featuring ye olde English recipes cooked with a modern take and techniques, highly recommended.
