Brooklyn Bridge

Catch the sunrise/sunset, run/walk on the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge on the return journey. Each bridge has its distinct flavor and charm.

*Feels safe with loads of runners at the break of dawn taking this iconic route*

Opened on May 24, 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge was the first fixed crossing of the East River. It was also the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time of its opening.

Signs are easy to follow to join the elevated wood-laden walkway above the bustling traffic below. You get great views of the city, Manhattan Bridge and you can even spot lady liberty. For a closer look, take the Staten Island Ferry. Click here for full review and tips!
Of the two bridges, Brooklyn and Manhatten, Brooklyn takes the cake. More charm, good pedestrian, elevated and spacious walkway.

Manhatten Bridge

Manhattan however does have its charm. It's more steel and emotes a more raw emotion and feeling. With the regular subways running-by, it's felt through the pedestrian walkway and great views of the Brooklyn Bridge. The walk-ways are definitely more truncated. 

From Wiki "The bridge was designed by Leon Moisseiff, built by The Phoenix Bridge Company, and opened to traffic on December 31, 1909. An innovative design, it was the first suspension bridge to employ Josef Melan's deflection theory for deck stiffening, resulting in the first use of a lightly-webbed weight-saving Warren truss for its construction. Considered the forerunner of modern suspension bridges, it served as the model for many of the record-breaking spans built in the first half of the twentieth century"

Chinatown

Just because of the Chinese New Year period. Things open up much later around 11am-12pm would be good. Most roast and rice charge at about USD10 or so per serving.

at NOHO

A unique natural history kinda shop that deals from the prehistoric to taxidermy. Very similar to unique small curated Grant Museum of Zoology in London (Highly recommended to check out), but everything here can be purchased!

*Blue Peacock at USD3000 while the white at USD3500. Basic care of Taxidermy involves spraying once or twice a year to keep bugs away.*

Very interesting, intriguing and excellent shop experience with Julie who shared all the intricate details. A worthwhile drop by within the NOHO area or even to take a trip here before a meal!
