Nanjing Road is the main pedestrian walking street featuring all brand names which are recognized world wide. Bright lights, performers and just communal get together bring a very homely feel to the area.

Watch as couples dancing to music from a boom box, or huge groups of 50-80 individuals partake in line dancing. Some even gather together as a make shift Kara-ok band, while others engaging in performances.
*Beware of ladies who ask you out for a drink*
Some girls who walk this pedestrian street target foreigners, to asking them out for a drink, with promise of a lead up to one on one time. However, it ends up with the victim having to pay an exorbitant amount for said drink and no end insight.
