Bukit Timah Hill
Beauty World MRT Station Exit A
Singapore's Highest Natural Peak in Singapore at 538ft

By MRT: You can take an MRT to Beauty World MRT Station from where you will take exit A to reach the nature reserve.

To get to the highest peak is very manageable. At the start, the incline is at its steepest and gradually tapers off. There are multiple rest stops strategically placed after each challenging section.

For the final assent to the summit, there's a choice of the shorter 150m stairs up or the gradual slope to the top. The stairs does have a section with shallow steps to accommodate different age and skill range. Great and very manageable.

This is but a small sub-sectionthat Bukit Timah has to offer. There are various parks, like the recently launched Rifle Range Park, which also links up to the newly renovated Old Bukit Timah Railway Station, Railway Corridor. For a similar walk and just for the view, Hong Kong has the world famous Dragon's Back Hike which I'd say is about the same difficulty level if just hiking to the top.

The whole journey took about 2hours. There are several off branch routes to cater to different skill/adventure levels.

ABBATip:
- There's a shoe and wash room at the entrance for those taking the more adventurous routes.
- To get a taxi or ride sharing app out, you may need to take a short walk to the nearest MRT Station and mall for easier pickups.
- When descending down the steep sections, do it like the pros. Walk backwards to prevent loosing grip and accelerate uncontrollably down-slope.
