(Uni, Scallop, Marinated Ikura, Snow Crab, Salmon and shredded tamaog served over Tanuki Raw's Signature Rice.)
Tanuki Kaisen Chirashi SGD24.90
For the shashimi lovers! Uni, tuna, negitoro, salmon sashimi, aburi salmon belly, scallop, sea bream, sword fish, white tuna, yellow tail, ikura, tamago and ebiko over Tanuki Raw's signature mixed rice.
*As can be seen from both pictures. The serving size is small. . . for the price really quite small. The signature mixed rice was pretty alright but didn't really work with the fresh ingredients. The seafood should shine with a support cast of

Umami gryuere melted over sweet potato fries topped with marshmallow, Tanuki Raw's spice mix, mozzarella and sour cream.
*The ingredients sounded okay. The marshmallow kinda worked with the sweet on sweet fries. However, the cheeses were completely lacking and what was served was a huge dollop of cold sour cream which quickly made the rest of the potato fries soggy. Sounded great if all the ingredients were represented but lacked on delivery overall.*

Ambience 3/5*Pretty nice on the interior and pretty decent alfresco view of the city on the outside. There isn't a lot of air conditioned space.*

*Firstly front of house was non-welcoming. For a early dinner at 6pm on a weekday, they elected to offer a cramped seating over larger seating spaces. (The place was really relatively empty on a weekday dinner. The Wham fries orders were completely missed and only towards the end of the mains, it was later shared that staff missed it due to and oil change.The service recovery was a 30% of the total bill and the Wham! Fries being written off.*

Creative ideas that don't really work. Over priced and not a very pleasant dining experience. In fact we went downstairs for top up of desserts and other eats. If not for the service recovery, it would have been an even worst off experience to join the list of two Horrible dining experience at Chi Ji for Crab Porridge (during lunch. Apparently dinner time is infinitely better.), Hong Kong, and Suamu Bar Restaurant in Barcelona (ABSOLUTELY AVOID)
Tanuki raw does have a small outlet at Changi Terminal 3 air side for eats on the go. Will likely avoid that as well.
