Yes, the exclamation mark is in their sign as well - no doubt the sign of excellent cuisine. Located near the Anne Frank House.
Instead
of one's fork burying softly in a pile of buttermilk goodness, you are
greeted with the clink of porcelain instead. Yup, the Dutch style of
pancakes is a thin and crisp circle of batter in which various
ingredients are embedded. Less McDonalds hotcakes and more crispy ban
chang kueh. On enquiry, the signature ingredients are bacon and
apple...uh huh...
Tried the Mushroom, pepper and bacon pancake followed by the apple pancakes.
Overall,
was disappointed, possibly due to misplaced expectations. But no loss
to the establishment which seemed to have no lack of customers filling
their small, 9-table set-up. And got one of their Dutch clog keychains
which comes with every bill, so that was a small
plus.
