What to do when there's an earth quake in Japan? 
- Stay Calm
- If the movement is side to side, the epicenter is far away, but if its up and down its much closer. (shared with from Japan locals)
- Have a bug out bag with all your valuables (passport), a charged handphone.
- In winter especially have your coats and shoes at the ready to get out fast.
- If you can, fill the bath tub with water so you have emergency water if stuck for a prolonged period. 
- Open your hotel room door as the earthquake may have warped them shut.

Rain Coffee Stand

A nice artisanal place for coffee enthusiast. You can buy their artisanal roasted beans from here and enjoy their selection of small bake bites.

It would have been nice if there was a nice seating area to enjoy. There's only some standing tables along the banister and a bench. That's about it.

Kasuissen
(Conveyor belt sushi restaurant)
Located Basement 1 of the mall.

The place opens at 12pm and there was already a 30min queue on a weekday. Seemingly very popular with the locals. Although its a conveyor belt sushi, all sushi was pretty much made to order. Easy ordering via the iPad and pictures.

All right sushi place. Wouldn't say its the cheapest and the cuts of fish could be thicker. The Otoro however, though small was on point. Many other options to try whilst in Sapporo.
