Tsukigi Tama Sushi
400m walk from Grand Prince Hotel
Came recommended by the Hotel staff as the only Sushi place in the area

Tama sushi is located a stone throw walk from Shinagawa station. Located on the basement one of Wing Takanawa west, comes this “okay’ sushi joint which came recommended by the hotel staff as the only one in the area.
The entire Shinagawa area seems to tender mostly to the expat community with major corporate companies like Microsoft and Canon having offices in the area. There seems to be a larger selection of main stream eats. Tama Sushi was the only Sushi joint found in the area.
One definitely needs to get out of Shinigawa to find more local eats. A possible place to explore, located two stops away is the Togoshi Ginza shopping district (known to be one of the longest shopping street in the Kanto region). The place offers local eats and interesting shopping. (Sushi options here are mostly limited to take aways. A must try there is their amazing fried chicken cartilage and beer. The best had thus far!)

Ordered On:
20Sept2017
Set1 ¥2800
Set2 ¥2100
Tuna Jaw ¥1000
*A worth while order. Its broiled very nicely and served together with the fresh sweet radish is a really nice pairing. A small mound of salt would have been nice but a good dish worth ordering.*
A-lacarte orders of medium fatty Tuna, amber jack and scallop sushi.
2 draft beers ¥600 each
Total fed 2 at ¥9600

Not
worth. For this kind of pricing, one is better off going to Eddoko Sushi(Narita village) for better quality. Sure here at Tama Sushi you
maybe able to order more for the same pricing but the sushi servings are
significantly smaller compared to Eddoko.
The
sushi is not off bad standing actually. Their amber jack/scallop and
Ottoro were pretty okay. However if one is looking for a reasonably
priced Sushi chain located all around Tokyo, Sushi Zanmai (multiple stores and open 24hr chain) is a good one to get one’s sushi fix.
