"Where's the best pho, try e one at e casino, its on e second level. Its a viet restaurant by itself, not a food court. A bit more ex but food is very good n e place is very clean. After the engr mgr showed me tis place, i never go back to Mekong (Click here for ABBA review of Mekong) anymore!"

"Anything on Degraves St is great. The soup stall is a favourite of mine. But really, any of the cafes there serves up great brekkie and coffee! For something more atas, try the in-house cafe at David Jones, called Sensory Lab."

ABBATravel entry
Finally getting a chance to try OPPA, a trendy Korean joint, just up the street from Mekong (click for full review), a Vietnamese noodle joint made famous due to ex-president Bill Clinton's visit there.
Ordered On:
5Jan2017
Beef meal bucket 12.80AUD/11.80AUD

*Great recommendation. Beef is super tender with a nice char flavor. Their salad was
fresh with a light vinaigrette dressing. Its got just the right rice to meat ratio. Worth while
order!*
Beef Bim Bim Bab 10.80AUD

*A disappointment. There's so little meat.*
Sweet and spicy Fried Chicken Large Size Order 9pieces 12AUD
(there's also a small portion order)
*Its hard to find Korean fried chicken that's single portion serving but this place's got just
that! The sweet pickled radish and salads were nice pairings for the fried chicken. As far
as fried chicken goes, it's pretty decent, but what sets this dish apart is that they fry the
rice cakes and potatoes as well. That adds a nice crispy crust with very bite.*
*Pretty good but the meat is on the salty side. Needs to be had with rice.*
Fed6 about AUD15 each
Free water is always great. Their meals are reasonably priced, and portioned just right.
Having comfort, Korean eats, in a trendy environment which is reasonably priced is a great deal!

"A few shops away from Mekong in Melbourne, there is a casual Korean joint called Oppa. Their meal bucket is delicious. AUD12 (used to be AUD10 before AUD dropped). Meal bucket is a wooden bucket filled with rice, the meat of your choice, green salad, potato croquette and a slice of orange. Water is free like in all Korean restaurants. Cheap and good place! Personal favorite is Grilled Beef Steak Meal Bucket." - E.Y"Fried chicken oppa that E.Y Recomend is nice" - S.O -review by contributors-

260m/4minwalk
"Look for supernormal - it's very near grand Hyatt. I just went n the food is fantabulous.
So the food at Supernormal was so good taste wise but not looks wise so not many pictures for u. It is well reviewed, can google the reviews. It is a little pricey- go with Makan buddies. Everything is awesome - u won't regret. The food is the type that will go well with a glass of wine. Here is a pretty picture of dessert:)" - D.A

Roule Galette

Seared Scallops AUD22
*Definitely the star order. In all honesty, a little smaller than expected, but really good scallops. Freshly prepared, well seared and pairs beautifully with the leeks. I think there was cheese in between the crepe that adds some richness and saltiness. The salad is cursory and in fact over dressed and on the salty side!*
x2 Sweet Crepes

*Pretty okay. Nothing really spectacular to scream about. In fact, chocolate seems to be squeeze bottle sort of inferior product. We were probably expecting the usual Nutella. The crepe itself a little on the dense side.*
 Fed4
Approximately 12AUD each.
Savories are worth the order though on a little on the pricey side. Sweet crepes and drinks are reasonably priced! Best crepe so far for savory goes to Michele's Crepe Suzette in Fremantle Perth.
