A pseudo small world with replica build ups with little attractions for a small fee. But the main attraction was definitely the flee markets which come in full force on the weekends.
There is no cover charge for entry, and the main entrance into the place are the most touristy both in products for sale and in pricing. The further in you go, things get varied from old military hardware, aviation watches, antiques, collectibles, gifts and many other unique finds. Prices are cheaper and have more leeway for negotiation.
Food options are relatively scarce over here and only come by way of overpriced Kebabs at 500rubles each. Especially those located near the main entrance. We had our kebab snacks from inside where the replica buildings were for 300rubles a stick.
Overall, besides the large selection of vintage stuff they have on display, the place can be best summed up as a post apocalyptic small world attraction, with vintage stuff, gift and souvenirs to get. Worth a visit but probably not a return to unless you've got something to purchase by way of antiques and collectibles.

The highlight on this visit was definitely the rave party going on the 9thAug2015

Train station hopping

Incredibly easy to move around in Moscow and what's best is a single ride charge let's you ride as far a you'd like to go.

I just tried the single green line 2 down south from Teatralnaya station to check out the stations. There are definitely some stand outs but after a while, the granite and pillars do get to be a little repetitive. Some research in advance is recommended to short list some of the best looking and historically rich train stations in Moscow.

*The large underground coat room to keep yer bags*
Nothing much really. The building did look impressive on the outside but inside it did lack luster by way of artifacts. Only some of the displays had English write ups but no surprise that the majority of them were in Russian.
*Pictures of Napoleons army, many of which freezing to death in the harsh Russian Winter*

Moscow Free Walking Tour
Daily at 1045hrs
The meeting location is situated at the statue located at the southern end of the park. Nearest train station is Kitay-gorod.
I don't think advance booking is a must. Its merely an indication how many to expect so that if required, additional tour guides are able to accommodate the large groups.

The concept like many other free tours in the world are that tour guides work on tips and it is entirely up to you if want to tip, if at all for their services rendered. Click here for ABBA review of walking tour done in AMS.
A pretty decent tour, with a couple of anecdotes and injected, with a few humorous tales to bring color to the history of the place. Guide's English was pretty decent and sufficient for relatively easy understanding. The route pretty much covered most of the major attractions in Moscow. Approximately 2hr+ walking tour.

The pictures speaks for itself. However, in my opinion, having seen other interiors of churches from Rome and Milan (Domo) it does lack in grander.
The exterior of St Basil's Cathedral, on the other hand is truly iconic and beautiful. I personally drew much more joy from the beauty of the exterior then its interior. The reasoning behind its unique shape and design was explained in the free working tour reviewed above.
