Fun free to enter exhibition that shows you the companies behind the much seen things around airports and contracts they have with Changi.

*The good people at Mastermark who do more in-depth studies on Bird strikes for Changi Airport. Looking to the bird's diets and working to target reduce and make Changi a less desirable place for these birds to come to. Dawn and dusk are the highest risks for a potential bird strike to occur. Really great insights and wonderful sharing to the more detailed and good work these folks do.*

St.Michael

St. Michael's Church (built between 1583-1597) in Munich is the largest Renaissance style church north of the Alps, the resting place of King Ludwig II, the "Mad King" who built Neuschwanstein Castle (click here for day tour details) and remains a legendary Bavarian figure. It is also a symbol of Bavaria's Counter-Reformation. Unfortunately the catacomb visits weren't open but check it next time!

About King Ludwig II, 

King Ludwig II of Bavaria, known as the "Mad King," was a reclusive monarch famous for building extravagant castles like Neuschwanstein (Click here for tour write up) . His obsession with art and opera led to financial troubles, and he was deposed for alleged mental illness before mysteriously dying in 1886.

The Asamkirche

The Asamkirche was built as a private chapel by the Asam brothers, features stunning Baroque illusions, and its design symbolizes a spiritual journey—earthly suffering in the darker lower section and divine glory in the bright, heavenly ceiling fresco.

The Glockenspiel

The Glockenspiel in Marienplatz, Munich, rings daily at 11 AM and 12 PM, with an extra 5 PM show from March to October. The performance lasts 12–15 minutes.

The Glockenspiel in Munich’s Marienplatz features life-sized moving figures that re-enact two historical scenes:
- The 1568 wedding of Duke Wilhelm V and Renata of Lorraine, complete with a jousting tournament

St Peter

A unique stand-out at St Peter's is Saint Munditia’s jewel-adorned skeleton rests in a glass shrine at the Church. A Christian martyr and patron saint of spinsters, her remains were brought from the Roman catacombs in the 17th century.

There are many churches which do the same in different formats.

Nymphenburg Palace
€16 for combination ticket. 

The place is essentially divided into three areas. (Two ticketed areas. The main palace, the stables and the palace grounds which are free to enter)
Nymphenburg Palace, the birthplace of King Ludwig II, is one of Europe’s largest palace complexes in Europe.

The Main Palace (Ticketed)

Its Great Hall inspired Versailles' Hall of Mirrors (Paris), and its gardens feature canals, fountains, and mini palaces like Amalienburg.

The second ticketed area is outside the main entrance on the right where the clock tower is. The Marstallmuseum showcases royal carriages, including Ludwig II’s extravagant sleighs.

*The carriages were incredibly impressive with their detailing and sheer size.

The place is a good 2-3hour worth of exploration. It was nice that the surrounding forest had bird houses randomly hanging on the trees to encourage wild life to make a home. The main highlights were definitely the great hall as well as the opulent sleights and carriages. Amazing!

Mun Mun Thai Cooking

Finally getting the opportunity to this popular Thai joint and it did not disappoint. The seating is a little small and can't accommodate large group seating. At near full strength of 13pax, we were split 7-3-3. The place was still packed at 1500hrs and that's the crowd on a Sunday.

Drinks like Beers and Radlers go for about €4.50

*A fusion of Thai and German. The duck wasn't dry and nicely fried. What's great is the huge portions of fragrant vegetables that comes along with this very filling meal which would even for me be a meal and a half.*

Great portions and nice atmosphere too! Great for small group eats and their Asian flavors are really spot on authentic. Would recommend when craving some Thai and if looking for some unique fusion of German and Thai, to try their Crispy fried duck with curry. Don't forget the table side condiments to up that spice level!

Researched to offer some of the best breakfast when in LA. They are most known for their sour dough bread, coffee cake and humongous cinnamon rolls (these are really huge and can feed 4 people).

*Stands out were their bread for sure and surprisingly their coffee was really good. The mugs kept them warm for much longer with excellent flavor. A really good pick me up for the day ahead.*

The Proud Bird/Bluso's Bar-B-Que
(Look out point of RWY35L) 20mins walk/ 1.4km
Opens Daily but closes 7pm and 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Founded in 1967 near LAX, The Proud Bird is an aviation-themed restaurant that was renovated in 2017 into a modern food hall while preserving its historic aircraft displays and runway views. Think Marche (several food vendors and a Starbucks to boot).

This is a closer plane spotting spot than the other popular In-n-Out burger joint.

*Beef Brisket and Pork Ribs are still the go-to must orders. Skip the so-so side. We tried the Mushroom Truffle Pizza. It was good but like the previous order more of a filler to the amazing mains! The pulled pork was however on the dry side.*

*Although the google rating for the BBQ smoke house wasn't that high, but it was a surprisingly, finger licking good! The beef brisket was tender and the ribs really comparable to famous ones like that of Cafe De Klos. Their BBQ sauce was excellent with a hint of heat. Thumbs up! The pizza and sides weren't much to scream about but it was overall very filling and enjoyed by all.

A great family-friendly space for get togethers. Foods pretty decent and look out for their weekday specials. The road side walking can be a little tricky when night falls but its pretty quiet all the way to the diner with a foot path of fairly flat gravel on the side.

One can order from a selection of eats and just pick-up the after. Bonus on having a Starbucks within the compound and fantastic views of dual runway arrivals and departures. Worth to check out and will return next time!
