Joe's Pizza
Opens daily 10am-5am
3min walk (Chain establishment)
A fun branded chain location. What's more New Yorker (besides a street dog) than grabbing a slice of New York Pizza. As featured in Sam Raimi's Spiderman, Joe's Pizza has a cult like following with the walls plastered with big time celebrities.

A high turn over rate with fresh pizzas constantly being pumped out. Good, cheap and value. Could have been better with warmer pizza but the New York Cold zaps it away fast.

New Favorites. The supreme with everything on and the fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. Crust is extra crispy and the tomatoes are so sweet! A must order too!

Food 3.5/5
*The cheese one was the winner. Crust were good, thin but could be warmer. The pepperoni a little salty but for the asking price at atmosphere, forget about it...*

*Though small, it just adds to the entire cinematic charm of dining in the place. The free helping of the condiments (Chilli flake, Pizza Garlic Powder and Cheese were sure wins)
Will k.i.v for a return for that guilty pleasure or a quick grab and go. The white cheese pizza was the winner amongst what we tried. Hugely satisfying.

George's
Opens daily 7am-6pm

Click here for ABBA location of Geroge's 89 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10006
A New York legend that opened its gates on 1950. As always portions are huge and two mains could feed three adult males.
Ordered on:
30Sep22
*New order of waffles. Pretty standard fare waffles. Always nice when its fresh out of the machine.
25Mar23
*Simple hot dog. The fries could be crispier but still a hearty breakfast.*
*Nicely done eggs Benedict for the morning.
Taste way better than how ZaZa, review below, Potato hash were so-so*
Ordered On:

Highly recommended breakfast joint that opens early, offers great pricing, generous portions and one of the better all American breakfast joints to be enjoyed. Comparable to another good breakfast joint in SFO - Dotti True Blue Bottle Cafe (which reported didn't survive post Covid*.

Magnolia Bakery
(Chained location and recommended by others)
An oldie but a goodie and most known for their rich, delectable banana pudding. Simple divine and a single small serve is just nice.

Dropped by this branch after checking out the Friend's apartment and subsequently went on to Chelsea Market, The High Line ending at the Vessel.

Leo Bagels
(Take Away Joint is the way to go!)
The other classic east coast thing to have. Fresh In-house Bagels with cream!
The place seemed very popular as we just missed the crowd after arriving. The overall process is very stressful. The boards and food displays are poorly lit and need 6/6 vision to read what to order.

You gotta already know what you wanna eat as you go and one can forget about dining on location.
Ordered on:

*Salmon was juicy, with pungent red onion bits. The cream cheese generously spread. Try a Bagel in the East Coast. As shared the east coast seems to do it much better than the west. Basic bagel and cream cheese goes for about USD5. This went for whopping USD15.75. Its good but pricey.*

*Don't think the full special meal was worth it. One gets more from George's reviewed above over this joint. It still tasted very good none-the-less. Stick to take away and other Bagel joints close to quality and maybe slightly more expensive but may provide sitting.*

Though the basic bagels with cream are slightly cheaper and almost at par or edge out slightly other locations, the overall process if not taking away is not worth it.

Was recommended by VIc.R their personal favorite and name sake, the Best Bagel & Coffee. Yet to check out. Click here for location.
Suited
(Known for their Coffee)

Click here for ABBA location of Suited 45 John St, New York, NY 10038
Known specifically for well brewed coffee which am sure am diluting how good they really do theirs. As shared, one of the rare to places that does light roast coffee. It offered an eye opening experience with our light roasts offering surprising nuances of floral and fruity tea-like accents.

Their other brews had different layers of flavor profiles which were intriguing. There are good breakfast eats here as well. Suited is located in the Wallstreet area and gets extremely busy during the weekdays, so try to get a spot on weekends to really enjoy a cuppa in a snazzy sleek decor. You never know it may unleash a Barista within yourself.

Another known, popular location and branded name is The Blue Bottle Cafe. (Chain establsihement)

O'Hara's Pub and Restaurant
Opens from 11/12 till late 12/1am.
(Firefighters and 9-11)

*Picture of O'Hare's after the 911.*
Anywhere within a three block radius of the Sept 11 memorial park is considered ground zero. As shared by staff, O'Hare was no exception and facade and roof were hit on the faithful day. First responders were on the scene to provide aid. After about a year, first responders, one after the other they left their patches as support and the American resilience.
*Scrap booking the memories and was shared with ourselves and others to have a flip through of sequence of events.*
Over time it became a thing and the place is filled with patches from fire fighters from all over the states.

The memorial clippings book was very personal and meaningful as we dined at the location.
*Buffalo wings were dry and the sauce and spice could be better. Philly cheese steak good.*

Food here is okay for a late grub and drinks on tap good. Per person approximately USD15. A nice place where an organic practice of leaving their patches behind at this Irish Bar and the camaraderie of the Firefighting force.

Zaza
Opens daily fom 7am to 10pm

By name sake alone, reminds of amazing Florentine Steak had at Zaza in Florence.
Ordered On:

*The Eggs Benedict came recommended over the omelettes. It was a miss. The eggs done and Hollandaise sauce pretty good but those crab cakes were a total miss. Mushy and didn't carry a strong flavor profile at all. Unfortunately the hash and prompt water refill service were nice.

A nice single story diner that I won't write-off immediately. Will still return to give a try their omelettes with their enjoyable hash, as well as their delectable french toast orders which were huge, fluffy and looked amazing. George's reviewed above is located across from Zaza.
