*Previous visit when it was still S.E.A Aquarium. Much of the main tank displays can't be moved or changed.*
Apart from the change in the flow of the entire aquarium, the aquarium has had a major revamp for the better I must say. Though a large number of the exhibits are not able to be reworked, the addition of three new areas were a large improvement and better flow to the entire explorative experience. Ocean Wonders
(beautifully and impressive immersive re-worked Jellyfish display)

Ancient Waters
(Awesome life-sized replicas

Whale Fall and Sea Mount

(This was by far the most impressive display with the changing projections)

*Kinmedai. Some of the reworked tanks with more interesting displays.*
However
overall the whole experience lacked luster and the wear on the displays
kinda showed. In some sections, air-conditioning was a little weak and aquarium displays were a little sparse. The base of some of the enclosures could have worked well with gravel rather than the flat flooring.
*Sparse vegetation**Original blue wall slowly overgrown by the display*
The S.E.A Aquarium, will be re-branding into the
Oceanarium in 2024 to be three times bigger and think it would be much
better for it. A fun time overall, but lacking the display punch as
compared to even the displays at the Singapore Zoo’s River Safari.
With the revamp, it definitely rejuvenates the whole experience a little bit more, with the starting and ending stronger than ever. The in-between does have some refreshed tanks and is an improvement over its predecessor. Worth more to explore now than its previous iteration.
*Review of the original S.E.A Aquarium still holds for the non-reworked exhibits.*
Not overwhelmingly great. Though their species range was wide, there was a huge distinct lack of easy access signage to learn about said species. Even in the shark tank, most of the fishes were repetitive with no distinct Alphas to really draw in the experience.
