Singapore - To Eat 18March22 (Sushi Airways)

*A very small place sitting about 20-30pax max? A deposit of 40SGD is required for reservations in case of no show. The last place that I'd had visited with a down payment booking payment of £50 was Dinner by Heston Blumenthal (2 Michelin Star and ranked top 5 at one point of time)

Bara Chirashi Set SGD38
*The presentation is very nice, but the bowl and fish serving is very small*
Assortment of Sushi platter SGD38
*It’s nice that they serve with less rice, but unfortunately the fish slices aren’t that generous. However, thumbs up for putting in the effort with the extra yuzu zest and little extras on the sushi to make it spectacular. Would have been a home run with thicker cuts thou, else enjoyable but yearning for a more generous serving.
Closest resemblance of taking that additional step to up that Sushi is Umegaoka Sushi no Midori-Sohonten in Nagoya. Extreme value and a must!*
Ebi Maki SGD35
Deep fried prawn topped with snow crab meat and fish row SGD
Great fry on the ebi with the cold sweet snow crab to compliment.

Ambience 4/5
A quaint, unique seating place which overlooks the people walking by downstairs. For a one of a kind dining experience with aviation push carts and storage boxes.
Service 3.5/5

Due to the small seating numbers, staff are able to be very attentive to keep cups filled and attend to any queries.
Food 3/5
Good but have had better else where. Good effort for the assorted sushi.
Value 2.5/5
Portions are way too small for the serving. Apart from the aviation themed experience and unique dining location, the prices in my opinion are a little steep.
Interesting but maybe a bit of a push to go again unless a strong passion for aviation to try this place out.
