"Quality off food over the service (in comparison to Hai Di Lau)" - Gina.
I've personally never had Hai Di Lau, but would definitely consider coming back here for a meal over Dollar Shop. It's got a pseudo traditional feel to it, and with free wifi and ice water
ready on hand, it's a winner. Don't mind returning with more khar khees.

Damn solid. A strong flame below gets the soup boiling really quick and the dishes came pretty fast. The mala flavors are respectfully spicy, but not overpowering. Subtle yet enjoyable. It definitely is spicy and we went for the medium heat. The non spicy pork been soup was equally good and flavored well. Like many of these hot pot places, where it shines as well is with its array condiments.
They serve, what I thought to be an appetizer, but in actual fact it's meant to help you with coping with the spiciness of the meal.
The concoction of vinegar, chili, peanut sauces, fresh spring onions and parsley really help quell the spicy meat and adds to hot pot dishes. Will return again.

Getting there
Took a cab from Millennium Hong Qiao to location. Each way about 20mins and 38RMB per trip.
