A nice creamy pick me up at €4.50. More milky cream. It could have used a stronger Matcha but that's a personal take. Will try the bubble tea another time. Wrapped in a crunchy charcoal cone for a pretty packaged dessert to beat the heat.

Chun Café in Amsterdam is famous for its premium Kyoto-sourced matcha drinks and viral Korean-style toasts, especially the crowd-favorite rib-eye bulgogi.

*Loving the toasted thick toast and stuffing it with a good serving of Bulgogi Meat. The meat is a little on the salty side and the assuming khim chi spicy mayo could use more spice and it needed either a vegetable or something pickle to cut through the heaviness. A great foundation for something much more! Good but not great.*

Worth to come here to check out the drinks and other dishes without a queue and dine in the minimalist and very limited seating space. The place has the queues running from across the street so don't be too over joyed when you see a short queue at the door!

Who can say no to fresh hot fries. Nicely fried and seasoned with a fresh grating of cheese. Great ratio of sauce and toppings to be enjoyed and its really a 1.5 to 3 individual portion. One of the better fries had and great for sharing. Similar to Chun Cafe, there's a queue but a pretty fast moving one. Worth to get if wanna check a must have in Amsterdam. One could go for more traditional dutch toppings with their curry sauce and choped onions.

How does it match up against Von Stapele? This I'd say at least for the brownie was a little less sweet and more cake-ish in a way. The richness of the chocolate is still there, but picking between the two, I'd say Von Stapele has the slight edge with the warm oozing center. Same same but different. Depends what you like and another great pick me up since you're already in the area for famous fries.
