Seattle Gum Wall
(Other major tourist attraction at Pike Place Market)

Blown Glass Art Pieces from the Market.

The Seattle Gum Wall, originating in 1990s, became a famous tourist attraction as patrons of an improv theater stuck their gum on the wall in Post Alley. It grew to be 50 feet wide and 15 feet tall, accumulating an estimated one million pieces of gum. However, in 2015, the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority decided to clean the wall due to the damage caused to the bricks and its location within Pike Place Market. The wall weighed around (3.3 tons and contained gum pieces that were up to 24 years old.

A must visit, just because, but the strong smells of sweet processed gum fills the air. Won't be recommending to lean on the walls. Its located just in front of  Down the stairs in Post Alley.

Rachel The Piggy Bank
(Side attractions also at Pike Place Market)

Rachel arrived at the corner of Pike Place in 1986. She is a bronze cast piggy bank created by Whidbey Island sculptor Georgia Gerber. Weighing in at 550 pounds (250 kg), Rachel was named after a real 750-pound pig who won the 1985 Island County Fair.

- The wheel's construction was completed in only eight months.

Seattle Space Needle
(About USD30 to go up. We just checked the base and scoped the surroundings.

The Citypass saves a fair bit cover 5top attraction in seattle)The Space Needle's design was inspired by a flying saucer and the futuristic spirit of the 1962 World's Fair. It stands as an iconic symbol of progress and innovation, captivating with its remarkable and unique architecture. It also designed to withstand wind speed up to 200mph and earthquake up to 9.1. MoPop Musuem of Pop culture Museum
(Located beside the Seattle Space Needle)

MoPop is divided into a couple of sections. Firstly its exterior which features the architectural marvel of Frank Gehry, who is known for other greats like the Guggenheim Museum and Disney Concert Hall.

The exhibits really starts from the second floor which eventually leads to the ground floor and gift shop.

Featuring RnB Photography

The Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) in Seattle prominently features music due to the city's rich musical legacy and the cultural significance of music in shaping popular culture.

The other categories were fantasy, sci-fi and the horror section was particularly interesting.

A really good time with lots of throwbacks and presumably screen used pop culture items across the generations. Real good fun, both on the interior and exterior of the building. Entry price is a little steep but with the citypass its ok.

Prices of museums have increased greatly over the years. Even entry into the NYC Met and Natural History Museum goes for about USD30+.

Take the Seattle Monorail

For USD3.50 per way from end to end. Starts/Ends from MoPop Museum. A fun little side ride that's iconic like taking a ride on the Hong Kong Star Ferry or like the tramway to get to Rooservelt Island in NYC.
