Grand Central Oyster Bar
The oldest restaurant in Grand Central, this landmark has one of the largest and freshest seafood menus in the city. A long history behind it but unfortunately on our visit lacked that golden era delivery it probably held.

Taste East and West Coast Oysters. They were good, but not great. Only a few had distinctive sweetness and creaminess. The rest, the nuances were a little too close to differentiate distinctively. USD58 for 12 Oysters.*
Though large impressive clams, they weren't very sweet. The overall dish, surprisingly lacked seasoning. Seen here was one 1/2 of main portion split for sharing. USD33.99*

Nostalgia *Priceless
Am sure there are many cheaper options located around New York. I came here purely out of nostalgia to try again the platter selection of different Oysters around the bay area. Prices have definitely changed a fair bit, given the last visit was over a decade ago. It is still an iconic establish in Grand Central Station with the whispering walls just located outside Grand Central Oyster Bar.

Enjoy the architecture, stay for the Whispering Wall and keep the memories of this location from years past.

LeVain Bakery
(Recommended by others and
a chain-establishment. Find the nearest one near you.)
Hailed as some of the best Chocolate Chip cookies/pre marathon cookies in New York City. It is worth its weight in its asking price of USD5(Mar23 Pricing). We weren't running no marathon but it was fantastic sharing a huge cookie and pairing that with a cuppa.

Recommended by staff for first timers, their original
Walnut and Chocolate Chip cookie which started off everything.
*Really get what you pay for. The dough is under and may not be to everyone's liking. Still a place to try for these famous, pre-martahon cookies*

ChikaLicious Dessert Bar
Run and owned by Chika, ChikaLicious has a flat USD25 tasting menu charge. This allowed for a three course Omakase dessert dining experience with Chika. These deserts change seasonally, where you get a choose of the main.

Lovingly prepared in the quaint space to be enjoyed.

*Starter with melt in your mouth Star Anise jelly with milk
and lemon grass sorbet over. To die for and sets the stage for things to come.*

*Fromage Blanc Island Cheese Cake, their signature*
*Brown Sugar Panna Cotta with Grapefruit Sorbet and Frosted Pistachio*

*After dinner small bites. Good but nothing really wow!*

A little on the pricey side, but its the whole experience to sit counter side and watch the deserts get plated up. Worth to come by to experience this seasonal, Omakase dessert bar.
