The Castro District, commonly referenced as The Castro, is a
neighborhood in Eureka Valley in San Francisco. The Castro was one of
the first gay neighborhoods in the United States.
*One of their icons when searching of what to see in Castro.
Their cement slide open to all to play. All you need is a little cardboard found at the side.*
Castro is pretty much at other end of the line to Fisherman's Warf (F Tram). Castro street has mostly bars, bistros and cafes. They've got their iconic rainbow cross walk and small sprinkling of shops offering a wide variety of novel gift ideas!
The place isn't really worth a trip just to explore the area, but it's really the people there that make it colorful. Castro is probably worth a meal in the evenings, just to people watch and enjoy the atmosphere. Click here for ABBA location of The Castro
