To Eat @ Gelang PatahYeo's family seafood restaurant

Located just off the second link from Singapore, Gelang Patah, west of Johor Bahru is a small township that is primarily used as a resting point for travelers whom areen-route on the North-South Expressway to the other states. Yeo's family restaurant came recommended from various forums but disappointed in some.
- *Pictured Left*Butter Prawns

Clams served were spoilt
Kai Lan
Dry Salted-Egg crab RM90
- *Pictured Right wasn't too bad but a little heavy on the corn starch.
Lemon chicken
- *Not pictured* Don't go to a seafood place and order meat. Sauce tasted store bought.
Total: RM150
View spectacular! Food average, pricing a little steep comparative to other outlets.
Please note like many other places, they have a minimum order of 2 crabs or by weight. Also at night, there was a frenzy of mosquitoes which plagued the area.

Restoran Chua Kee

A diagonal road lined with parked cars of hungry patrons and the opposite carpark
lets you know you're at the right place for good eats.
What was ordered:
Pictured Clockwise from top Steamed Prawns RM25
- delectable and great flavor to the egg white steam bath
*Signature* Honey BBQ chicken RM6
- Good flavor in marinade. Was unfortunately a little underdone.
Sambal Kang Kong RM6
Salt Egg Cray Fish RM26- one of the better salt-egg dishes I've tried. Well salted and sweet.
Like little chicken poppers, the dish is relatively dry taken on its own.
*Signature* Dry Teochew style Bee Hoon RM14
- An interesting mix of veg, pork and chestnuts.Great flavor and a meal on its own. Worth a try.
Young Coconut Drink RM4.50

Easily accessible via the highway from Singapore or Johor Side. A small community with hardware and small communal shops lining either side of the road. This corner restaurant signature is the black pepper crabs which are caught locally.

Special mention,
*Signature*: Black Pepper Crab *not pictured*
Crabs caught locally are used for their signature dish, however on my day of visit, past days of low rainfall resulted in a lack of harvest. Hopefully on your visit, the harvest suits your timing and be rewarded with their signature dish.
